BeautisolOne of my guilty pleasures is watching the hit reality TV show, Jersey Shore.  These people have definitely brought tanning back to the pop culture forefront and have loudly voiced their aversion to all things pale.  Unfortunately, I have been born with extremely fair skin and pale has always been a way of life for me.

When I was younger, I used to tan my skin the old-fashioned way, by laying out in the sun or visiting tanning beds to achieve that healthy, bronzed glow.  But now that I'm older (and a I hope a little wiser), I have given up trying to tan my skin for good.  The sun's rays are very harmful and damaging to your skin and can cause premature aging too, which is definitely something I'm trying to avoid these days.

The kids on Jersey Shore all say that they spray tan as well as sun tan, but honestly, they all look like a bunch of orange messes to me.  I don't want to look like an Oompa Loompa and so have never spray tanned my skin yet.  Beautisol, a trusted leader in sun care, sent me the All Seasons Glow self-tanning lotion and Go Slough Yourself Dual Action Scrub, in order to transform my light skin into beach-ready bronzed skin.  Keep reading to see whether it worked or not!

I reviewed the All Seasons Glow Self-Tanning Lotion and the Go Slough Yourself Dual Action Scrub from Beautisol, which retail for $39.00 and $19.00, respectively.

Ceramcor XtremaHow many hours do we spend in the kitchen trying to fix our family a tasty meal?  Now, how many hours do you spend trying to clean yucky stuck-on goop from your cookware?  Probably WAY TOO MANY!  I have to admit that I am extremely lazy when it comes to cooking sometimes, because the effort and clean-up time far exceeds the time actually spent enjoying the meal you prepared!

Personally, I love my non-stick cookware, but I also love my dishwasher too...why then, has fate kept them apart from each other?  Well, it seems that someone has finally answered my cries because Ceramcor has created the Xtrema line of ceramic cookware.  It's nonstick AND dishwasher friendly, and even so much more!

I reviewed the Xtrema 10-Inch Ceramic Skillet 3-Piece Set from Ceramcor, which retails for $135.99, but is currently on sale for $129.99.

Fat KidsIf the war against childhood obesity was a race, America would still be at the starting line.

Childhood obesity has tripled in the past 30 years. About one out of every three children or teens is overweight or at risk of being overweight. Because children's bodies are still developing, the damage to organs triggers medical problems extending throughout their lifetimes, according to a report issued by First Lady Michelle Obama’s Task Force on Childhood Obesity.

Nearly 75 percent of Americans will be overweight or obese by 2019, and that condition will drag down the economy and impoverish the nation. What’s worse is that our nation is growing fatter at the same time it is growing hungrier. Another study by New York’s Food Research and Action Center describes another dilemma -- a new definition of hunger that actually describes how families can become obese at the same time they are going hungry.

X-PoleNow that I'm getting older, I am becoming increasingly concerned about my own fitness level. I realize that with age, muscle mass tends to decrease and fat levels tend to increase. Also, since being a stay-at-home mom, I find that I'm not as active as I used to be and I want to stay in good shape so that I can keep up with my daughter and be able to run and play to her little heart's content.

For the most part though, I find working out a drag. Running in place while lifting dumbbells along to an exercise video isn't always very thrilling. Recently though, I've been made aware of a brand new fitness trend...pole dancing! X-Pole, a top-quality manufacturer of professional grade dance poles, allowed me to review the new Kendra Wilkinson Signature Sport Pole. Keep reading to learn much more!

I reviewed the Kendra Wilkinson Signature Sport Pole from X-Pole, which retails for $249.99.
