Parents Magazine Now that summer is officially behind us, we can all look forward to the brisk days and cool nights of autumn.  Here in the South, this is one of the best times of the year, filled with plenty of outdoor walks, picnics and fun.  But for some of us, the fall season is already incredibly cold, thus limiting our time outdoors and also our amount of daily exercise.

Bimbo Bakeries USA Arnold and Oroweat Sandwich Thins rolls are the original and favorite thin rolls.  These round sandwich-sized flatbreads are available under the Arnold brand name in the East and under the Oroweat brand name in the West.  Now, Sandwich Thins rolls have reduced sodium by at least 22% across all varieties, bringing the sodium level to 170 mg per roll.

I recently had the opportunity to review the 100% Whole Wheat Sandwich Thins Mini's with my family. Keep reading to learn more!

This post brought to you by Sunkist S’alternative. All opinions are 100% mine.

My sodium intake is honestly something I've never really thought about before.  I guess I'm still having a hard time adjusting to the fact that I am no longer a spring chicken, but rather a 35-year old "experienced" hen.  I've increased my daily exercise regimen to account for this, but now I may need to adjust my diet somewhat as well.

Most food includes “hidden salts” that can be dangerous to your health.  How much sodium are you consuming on a daily basis?  Take the Sunkist Sodium Quiz on Facebook to find out where you fall on the sodium scale.  Whether it turns out you’re a Serial Salt Offender or a Sodium Smarty, you’ll learn new tips on how to use Sunkist® lemons as a healthy sodium-free alternative to salt.  I was surprised at how well I did!

Getting Crunchy with KatieMy first experience with organic wine was in Napa Valley, California.  My mom and I started our wine tasting day at an organic winery.  We were not impressed at all.  For the past three years, I’d written off organic wines as being mediocre, not worth spending money on when there are so many more delicious wines to be experienced.  One trip to a local wine store completely changed my perception.

Passionately Pink for the Cure with the Scholastic Passionately Pink Team

October is one of my favorite months of the year for many reasons...autumn is my favorite season, Halloween is my favorite holiday, my daughter was born and breast cancer research and awareness is one of my favorite charities.  Breast cancer has touched my family's life deeply, for my mother-in-law, Jannell Cleaver, died from this illness back in 2003.

Because cancer took away Michael's mother so soon, she never had the chance to see my husband and I get married, visit us in our first home we bought together or ever meet her wonderful granddaughter.  In order to do my part to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Passionately Pink for the Cure charity, I've joined forces with the Scholastic Parent & Child Passionately Pink for the Cure team.  Keep reading to learn more about how you can help and even WIN ONE OF TWO $100 AMEX GIFT CARDS!
