BLUEiQOne of my favorite units to teach each year, back when I was a Science teacher, was Ecology.  The study of how plants and animals interact with their environments in order to successfully live and reproduce never ceased to fascinate me...or my students.  It seems that children just have a natural affinity for living things and love to learn more about how all life is interrelated here on Earth.

Personally, I've always been amazed at how miniature ecosystems can be formed and are truly self-sufficient because they contain a unique balance of energy, water, plants, animals and bacteria (decomposers) which mimics the exact balance in our own planet's ecology.

BLUEiQ miniature ecosystems bring a beautiful touch of Science into your home, which will inspire you to reflect on your own actions and role in Earth's ecosystems.  I recently had the chance to review the BLUEiQ from Art & Science For All, Inc.  Keep reading to learn more!

I reviewed the BLUEiQ Miniature Ecosystem from Art & Science For All, Inc., which retails for $89.00, but is currently on sale for $79.00.

Filtrete from 3MIt seems that everyone is trying to make healthier choices these days regarding what we put in our bodies.  There's a wider variety of organic foods, supplements and other health care products on the market today designed to eliminate the intake of harmful toxins and chemicals into our bodies.

One positive change that most everyone has made is the switch to drinking bottled water, which is both good and bad.  Drinking bottled water is definitely better for our overall health than drinking tap water, but unfortunately, the waste associated with consuming bottled water is quickly overrunning our already overfilling waste dumps.

Thankfully, Filtrete from 3M has designed a product which will allow us the convenience and health benefits of drinking bottled water without placing an extra burden on our planet.  The Water Station Kit will even save you some serious money too!  Keep reading to learn more!

I reviewed the Filtrete Water Station Kit from 3M, which retails for $44.99, but is currently on sale for $37.44 with FREE SHIPPING.

Getting Crunchy with Katie I shop at farmers markets several times each year, but I am not a regular shopper by any means.  I feel that they are always out of the way.  Maybe it is because most of them are only open one day a week.  Maybe it is because I cannot get all of my groceries in one stop.  Excuses!  Excuses!  Or, maybe it is the fact that I do not know the right questions to ask.  Today, I am bringing you some of my "bloopers" from the farmers market.
