Sesame Street Live Elmo's Green Thumb My daughter is an absolute Elmo fanatic and her 2nd birthday is actually less than a week away, so we were thrilled to have the chance to take her to see Sesame Street Live - Elmo's Green Thumb in Beaumont, Texas!

Riley has only been to one live children's show before and she had a blast.  I knew that if she could have the chance to see her idol live and in person, she would hardly be able to contain herself!  Keep reading to find out all about the hit Sesame Street show, "Elmo's Green Thumb"!

VerTerra Dinnerware

Colossal Christmas Countdown:

66 Days Until Christmas!

Huge meals with family and friends are some of my favorite parts of the holidays.  But let's face it, all of that cooking, baking and eating does a number on my dishwasher!  I hate washing dishes by hand, but I have no choice after a big Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner.  I have so many pots and pans to wash, plus a ton of plates, glasses, bowls and flatware to wash too.  I've been tempted in the past to have everyone eat off of paper plates and use plastic utensils and cups, but these items aren't good for the environment and they also just look way too tacky to use for a festive holiday meal.

Recently though, I discovered a company, called VerTerra, which will save me from being chained to the sink washing dishes all night.  They make a high-quality and extremely sturdy line of disposable dinnerware made from fallen leaves.  Now I can toss these in the compost pile after dinner and skip washing all of those dirty plates and bowls!  I believe the holidays have just gotten a little brighter!

I reviewed the following from VerTerra:

Party Perfect Medium 8" Plates (Set of 8), which retail for $6.99

Party Perfect 6" x 8" Bowls (Set of 8), which retail for $5.49

Book Box Company Inc.

Colossal Christmas Countdown:

73 Days Until Christmas!

I am a huge fan of finding creative ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.  I'm always trying to keep my mind open to new ways of using old items, but I think I've found a company that has taken reusing and made it an art form!  The Book Box Company, Inc. takes old forgotten books, which have been sitting on shelves for decades collecting dust, and turns them into storage boxes.

These storage boxes have an endless array of uses and I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to review one.  Keep reading to check out the many ways an old book can be recycled into a family treasure once again!

I reviewed the Antique Extra Large Secret Storage Book from The Book Box Company Inc., which retails for $44.00.

WeeRide

Colossal Christmas Countdown:

76 Days Until Christmas!

Autumn is a beautiful time of year here in Texas!  The weather is absolutely gorgeous now and it makes you want to spend every moment outside.  I love to ride my bike, but since Riley isn't even two years old yet, we can't exactly go bike riding together.  So what can I do when my husband and I want to jump on our bikes, have an impromptu picnic by the lake in our neighborhood and soak up this cool, crisp air and warm sunshine?

That's where WeeRide comes in!  The WeeRide product line specializes in making your tots just as mobile on your bicycle as you are.  I was fortunate enough to review the WeeRide Convertible Coach, which acts as a bicycle carrier as well as a jogging stroller!  Keep reading to find out more!

I reviewed the WeeRide Convertible Coach from Kent International, Inc., which retails for $129.99.

Boba Baby Carrier

Colossal Christmas Countdown:

77 Days Until Christmas!

Ever since she was born, Riley has been the type of child who wants to be where the action is.  She loves people and going any place with her is always an adventure!  Since traveling in a stroller can be a limiting experience at times, I love being able to wear Riley on my back.  When she was a baby, I often wore her on my front so that she could be close to me and still allow me the freedom to take care of household chores like vacuuming, doing dishes and washing clothes.

Unfortunately, the baby carrier I had was of a very poor quality and it often caused me a ton of pain!  As Riley kept growing, I knew that I could no longer wear her any longer.  Fortunately, I had the opportunity to review the Boba Organic 2G Child Carrier which claims to accommodate a child that weighs up to 45 pounds!  If this were true, her father and I could start strapping Riley to us again and be free to take her off the beaten path.  Keep reading to find out my experiences with this child carrier.

I reviewed the Boba Organic 2G Child Carrier in Walnut from NAP, Inc., which retails for $118.00.

EcoMomReading is a HUGE part of Riley's day!  Her father and I read countless books to her every day and she just can't seem to get enough (which I love)!  This, of course, is one habit I want to encourage as much as possible, which means that I am constantly on the lookout for great children's books.

Actually, their quality book selection is what originally drew me to discover EcoMom.  I have done reviews for this company in the past and have learned that they also carry a wide variety of environmentally friendly toys, food and gifts for both mommy and child.  EcoMom has a wonderful variety of books, so I jumped at the chance when asked to review The Story Tree: Tales to Read Aloud by Hugh Lupton and Sophie Fatus!

I reviewed The Story Tree: Tales to Read Aloud by Hugh Lupton and Sophie Fatus (Book with CD), from EcoMom, which retails for $20.00.
