AvantGardenDecor.comIf there's ever a time to get outside and soak up all that nature has to offer, it's NOW!  Both plants and animals are at their busiest getting ready for winter, and we have a front row seat.  The trees are transforming themselves into gorgeous shades of red, brown and gold and the birds are traveling along their usual migration routes to warmer climes.

Of course the weather is magnificent too, with cool breezes cooling us off from the recently hot summer season.  Autumn is the time for backyard barbecues, camping trips and fishing.  Basically, if it's something that can be done outdoors, get out there and do it!  Unfortunately, all of this outdoor enjoyment made me realize one thing...I needed a beautiful backyard makeover!

Never fear, for AvantGardenDecor.com has everything you need for a total transformation.  Here's my top 4 product ideas for a gorgeous patio or backyard:

xZubi TechnologiesWhen it comes to my family's health, I do anything and everything I can to make wise decisions.  I do my best to eat healthy food, exercise regularly and cut out unhealthy activities like smoking and drinking.  But there's a new danger that's been getting a lot of buzz lately... cell phone radiation.

Since I have a genetics degree and was a Science teacher in a past life, I take scientific research very seriously.  Many scientists around the world have been conducting studies on the dangers of electromagnetic radiation in relation to cell phone use and, in my opinion, the results are quite alarming.

Of course, the cell phone industry states that there is no definitive relation to cell phone use and brain cancer or tumors, and that's true...to a point.  The problem is, cancer is a disease which takes several years, if not decades, to manifest itself and cell phones just haven't been around long enough yet for the true ramifications to become evident.

I find the comparison between cell phone radiation and cigarette smoking eerily similar.  The industry which profits blatantly denies any possibility of danger, while scientists warn that there's a definite possibility of harm.  Several decades later, everyone knows the imminent harm that can come from smoking a cigarette, but for many people, it's just too late.

Thankfully, xZubi Technologies has a preventative method everyone can take against electromagnetic field radiation until the matter of its dangers is officially settled.  Why take the risk of developing brain tumors and cancer, when for a very low price, your entire family can be protected?

I reviewed the xZubi Introductory Family 5-Pack which retails for $149.75, but is currently on sale for $59.95.

Home Spa TreatmentsOne of the things I enjoy more than anything else is a trip to my local nail salon.  When I was younger, I thought that a "shop 'til you drop" trip to the mall was definitely the bees' knees, but now, nothing sounds sweeter than a little relaxation and pampering.

Unfortunately, a trip to the salon isn't cheap.  By the time, I get a mani/pedi and leave a tip, I've easily spent over $60.  :wow:  In this economy, the spa is simply a gratification that's best left alone.  Fortunately, home spa treatments can provide the same level of luxury without the exorbitant prices.

Beauty Chic has created an entire line of amazing home beauty products guaranteed to make your face, hands and feet appear fresh from the salon.  Keep reading to see my five step plan for relaxation and pampering on a budget!

I reviewed the following Beauty Chic products for perfect home spa treatments:

Pedicure Spa Kit, which retails for $17.99

Facial Sauna, which retails for $24.99

Cordless Mani/Pedi Kit, which retails for $17.99

Pampering Foot Spa

NeovaDuring the summer, less definitely seems to be more...including less clothing and less makeup.  One thing that should never be forgotten during this season though, is a top-quality facial sunscreen, and NO, the tiny amount that is added in your makeup is not enough.

Unfortunately, I haven't abided by that cardinal skin care rule throughout my life and now my super fair skin has an unbelievable amount of UV photodamage.  I've tried using harsh chemicals like hydroquinone to rid myself of these unattractive marks, but never had much success.  That's why I was intriqued by the Neova DNA Total Repair treatment.  Keep reading about the correct and repair treatment that can heal past damage and even resist future photodamage from occurring!

I reviewed the Neova DNA Total Repair (1.7 oz.) which retails for $99.00.

BARBAR Hair ToolsThrough the course of my life, I've come to learn several things to be true and one of them is, "You get what you pay for".  I don't know how many times I've bought the cheapest item made only to be sorely disappointed later.

Just recently, I discovered the major differences in curling irons and flat irons and how the cheaper models are actually destroying your hair!  Now, I had the same opportunity to compare blow dryers.  I've always used some off-brand, inexpensive blow dryer on my hair and figured that there probably wasn't much difference between the one I was using and the salon variety.  I mean, don't they all just blow hot air?  Well, I had the chance to review an ionic blow dryer from BARBAR and can honestly say that yes, there definitely IS a difference and you DO get what you pay for!

I reviewed the BARBAR Italy 3800 Ionic Charger Blow Dryer which retails for $150.00, but is currently on sale for $120.00.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, BARBAR Inc. would like to offer 50% off TWO of their blow dryers (Ceramic ECO-8000 and Italy 4800 Ionic Blow Dryer).  A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to a breast cancer organization of their choice.  Use coupon code: "beat50cancer"

SKILBelieve it or not, I'm actually quite a handy gal.  I get great enjoyment from building and creating things with my own two hands and have learned long ago that using amazing tools always makes a project more enjoyable.

For me, a screwdriver is one such tool that I absolutely cannot be without.  Whether I'm assembling a book shelf or building a raised garden bed, it seems that I've always got a screwdriver by my side.  Unfortunately, I don't have the hand strength required to screw anything in manually and have always relied on a quality cordless screwdriver to make my project fly by.

SKIL has been providing quality tools since 1924 and has created the best cordless screwdriver to help support the cure.  Keep reading to learn more!

I reviewed the Limited Edition Pink iXO 2354-04 Cordless Screwdriver from SKIL which retails for $39.99.
SKIL is donating 10% of every sale of the Pink iXO Cordless Screwdriver to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
