As you may have read in my previous post about the new JCPenney Santa Tags, I was chosen to participate in a unique Secret Santa exchange with some of my fellow bloggers.  I forgot just how thrilling it is when you know you are going to be receiving a gift, but you have no idea what it will be or who it will be from.

JCPenney has found a super unique way to revive the Secret Santa tradition with friends and loved ones from around the country with their brand new Santa gift tags. These holiday gift tags feature a QR code that you scan with your QR reader app on your smartphone.

Once this is done, you'll simply enter your cell phone number on the site that pops up and the JCPenney holiday greeter will call you and give you the chance to send a personal voice message to the gift recipient. This message is stored in each specific QR code, so that once you stick your JCPenney Santa Tags on their respective gifts, the recipient will be able to hear your personalized greeting!

Mickey, from A Helicopter Mom, bought me the gorgeous Cooks Salad Set, which is going to take center-stage on my holiday table this year.  It contains a beautiful bamboo tray which holds one large white bowl for salad, three smaller condiment containers, salt and pepper shakers and two bottles for either oil and vinegar or your favorite salad dressings.  Of course, the matching bamboo salad tongs are the perfect finishing touch.
