There's definitely something cute and cuddly about carrying around your brand new baby and all of their gear when you're a new mommy.  I guess that's what led me to pick out the pastel green diaper bag with a large yellow duck on the front.  Either that, or the pregnancy hormones were talking!  :)

But now that Riley has grown from a wee baby to a full-fledged toddler, I think that my baby bag needs to grow too.  Sometimes I feel pretty foolish carrying around this childish green bag with the duck on the front.  Now that I'm a "seasoned" mom, I want to get back to carrying a handbag with some style, which can still function as a terrific diaper bag for when my family is on the go.  Thank goodness, Amy Michelle came to my rescue with the Sweet Pea Baby Bag!

The Sweet Pea Baby Bag from Amy Michelle has made this girl feel hip and stylish again!  I love the look of this purse, for it is exactly the kind of purse I used to carry before I was pregnant.  But unlike a normal purse, the Sweet Pea Baby Bag has a ton of specialized pockets and compartments which are perfect for any mom.

If you look at the pictures below, which show the front of this bag, you'll see that there is an upper zippered pocket, which is perfect for quick retrieval of your keys.  Now, I don't have to worry about digging around in my purse when it's time to go home for my keys are always within easy reach!  The other two pockets have a buckled flap covering them and are secured with a magnetic closure.  These pockets are perfect for storing extra pacifiers, Kleenex or napkins, lotion, baby wipes, etc.  My digital camera and Flip video camera also fit easily in these pockets too.

The bottom of the Sweet Pea Baby Bag is protected by four metal posts so as to keep your bag from getting scuffed on the bottom.  In the lower right picture, you can also see the back and side of the Sweet Pea.  The large back pocket actually houses a diaper changing pad, which is the same color as the inside lining.  Once your child is potty trained, you could easily remove this changing pad and place a magazine, newspaper, book or coloring book inside to make the Sweet Pea even more functional!

I absolutely love the side pockets on this baby bag, because they are deep enough so that I know nothing will fall out and they're so readily accessible.  These two pockets are where I choose to store my digital camera and Flip video camera.  That way, these devices are easy to grab when that perfect moment to capture presents itself!  If you're keeping score at home, you now realize that the Sweet Pea Baby Bag has a total of SIX pockets on just the outside alone.  These pockets really help me to stay organized and to grab the essentials at a moment's notice.

Side and Back of the Bag - The back pocket houses a changing pad and the side pockets are perfect for cameras, hand sanitizer, Kleenex, etc.

One of my favorite features of the Sweet Pea Baby Bag is the removable stroller straps seen below.  As most of you know, there isn't a lot of empty space to store many things underneath a stroller.  These straps keep my diaper bag out of the way and accessible.  Because they are removable, you can continue to carry this bag as either a travel bag or regular purse long after your child(ren) are grown and no longer need a stroller.  You will know that the Sweet Pea was once your diaper bag, but no one else will!

The inside of this baby bag is EXTREMELY roomy!  There are several pockets inside made to organize your stuff and your child's stuff.  There's a baby bottle pocket, credit card pockets, large pockets perfect for sunglasses or makeup, and even a mini-keychain too.  The wide open inner compartment can easily hold some of my daughter's large toys, diapers, wipes, snacks, sippy cup, etc.  Now, when we leave the house, I just take out my wallet from the smaller purse I currently carry when I go out alone and throw it in the Sweet Pea Baby Bag.  It's that easy and I have yet to leave anything behind that I need!

I am truly in love with the Sweet Pea Baby Bag and will continue to carry this for years to come!  It is the epitome of function and style, and keeps all of the many things I carry when my family leaves the house so organized.  Now that I've traded in my big green diaper bag with the large yellow duck on the front for the Sweet Pea Baby Bag in Eggplant Faux Patent, I feel a little less like "awkward" mom and more like "fashion runway" mom!  What a bag!  :)
