Even though I love potato chips, I never feel quite right about eating them, since I know that they are just chocked full of empty calories and loaded with fat.  I love popcorn and pretzels, which are much healthier snack choices, but the microwave kind of popcorn just never really tastes that great and the bagged variety of popcorn is always old and stale tasting.

Fortunately, there is a company called Popcorn, Indiana, which specializes in shipping fresh, tasty, gourmet popcorn right to your door.  I had the chance to review three of their flavors.  Read below to find out what I thought.

I have always loved kettle corn and usually get to sample its yummy goodness when I'm out at some sort of festival or fair.  Someone will always have a stand or tent set up where they are making it fresh on the spot to sell.  That combination of sweet and salty gets me every time and I can't help but to stop and buy some.

Well, I have to admit that I was a little doubtful as to whether bagged popcorn would be able to taste that fresh, but I'm happy to say that the kettle corn from Popcorn, Indiana actually does!  I don't know when they actually package and ship their popcorn, but I would guess by the freshness and taste of it that they must ship it to me the day they make it.

The Smoked Cheddar Cheese popcorn was quite tasty as well, but personally, I didn't really care for the smoky undertones to this snack.  My definite favorite flavor was the Aged White Cheddar Kettle Corn!  This popcorn tasted so fresh and the aged white cheddar made my taste buds sit up and take notice!  The amount of flavoring was perfect as well.  There was just enough of the white cheddar flavor to keep you coming back for more...and more...and more.  Maybe that's not so perfect after all?

I ate most of this bag in ONE SETTING!  :) Popcorn, Indiana has five flavors of gourmet popcorn (Original, Aged White Cheddar, Smoked Cheddar Cheese, Movie Theater & Sea Salt) to choose from and if they taste as fresh and yummy as the ones I sampled, I'm sure you will love all their varieties of popcorn too!

I think this would be a great treat for your children's lunches or even for an upcoming get together.  I know that this would disappear in a matter of seconds during the holidays and I plan on serving this popcorn to my family and friends around Christmas time.
