Mitch Gaylord won 4 Olympic medals and has been inducted into the Olympic Hall of Fame. He became the first ever American gymnast to score a perfect 10! From his knowledge of core training, he designed the Melt It Off system. With Mitch’s 3 Day Melt It Off Kick Start, you can start on Wednesday and be a size smaller for the weekend. Guaranteed! In independent university testing, the average result was over 5 pounds and 1 size in just 3 days!*
I was very excited to try Mitch's Melt It OFF program, because...well, I'll be honest, Mitch Gaylord is HOT! I remember having a poster of him up in my room as a teenager and I was surprised at how good he still looks. I was also surprised at just how much was included with the Melt It OFF exercise program since it only cost $19.98.
I really liked the Melt It OFF program guide because it explained in detail everything that you would need to know about the program and even included a 7-day meal plan for both men and women as well as places to record your beginning and end measurements. I also liked the promise that I would lose one pant size or over 5 pounds in just 3 days...though I have to admit I was pretty skeptical about that.
I decided to try and follow the 3 Day Melt It OFF Kick Start guide and immediately found that I didn't really care for the meals listed there on the accompanying diet you were supposed to follow. I decided that I would just eat sensibly and frequently so as to ramp up my metabolism. I also noticed that I was supposed to complete two workouts on the very first day: Burn & Sculpt and Sizzlin' Abs.
I completed the Burn & Sculpt workout, but have to admit that even though this was the first time I had ever done the workout, it was pretty boring to me. Passing a ball around your head over 50 times had me zoning out frequently. Although some of the exercises were challenging enough and I did feel a burn the next day, I wasn't motivated at all to continue doing this program.
Each video was also fairly long (about an hour) and on day 1 and day 3 you are expected to do the Sizzlin' Abs video after working out for an hour. Frankly, I just don't have that kind of time to exercise and was hoping that this program wouldn't require this much time. The good news is that if you can commit to doing these workouts regularly, you will burn up to 1,000 calories per day you exercise!
I think that for the money, this is an excellent workout system for the Melt It OFF program includes everything you need in order to see results. They cover the diet plan, the motivation and the moves which will get you slim in no time. Personally, I didn't care for the system because I didn't like any of the choices listed in the meal plan, the workouts took too much time per day and I wasn't motivated by them. I prefer more high energy workouts and trainers, such as Billy Blanks or Denise Austin. Mitch is just a little too low-key for me, but everyone is different as to what they're looking for in an exercise system and this is a great set for the money.
