Colossal Christmas Countdown: 47 Days Until Christmas!

I first discovered the Lug brand of bags when I won a sweepstakes from a popular magazine.  My prize was a large gray carry-on bag from Lug that I absolutely fell in love with!  My husband and I still fight over this bag anytime we travel, for it is so roomy and well-designed.  Recently, I was contacted by Lug and asked to review the Puddle Jumper Overnight/Gym Bag, geared for moms on the go and also featured on the Oprah show.  Of course, I jumped at the chance!  Would my second encounter with Lug bags be as good as my first?  Keep reading to find out!

I have to admit that I am a total bag freak, partially because I love to be organized wherever I go.  When you are traveling with a toddler, it's imperative that you know where everything is IMMEDIATELY!  Toddlers are notorious for being impatient and the quicker you can get to whatever it is they need, the less meltdowns you'll have.  So, I immediately liked the Lug Puddle Jumper bag because it seemed to have a compartment for EVERYTHING!  Now, I could stay organized while on the go and could quickly and easily access whatever I needed.

I also loved the pattern, color and overall look of the Lug Puddle Jumper bag too!  The beautiful rose pink color was definitely eye-catching without being gaudy.  I also liked how roomy it was and that it's a taller bag, instead of a wider one, which are usually easier to carry.

Of course, I was thrilled to find that this bag was just as well-made and cleverly designed as the first Lug bag I came to own several years ago.  First of all, the stitching around the handles and every seam was perfect.  Lug takes great pride in creating their bags and every detail was flawless.  I have every reason to believe that this bag is going to easily withstand many years of travel and daily use.

Next, I loved how spacious and compartmentalized this bag was!  The one large, inner zippered pocket has a smaller zippered pocket inside, perfect for storing your jewelry or smaller items like a toothbrush or makeup.  There was also a water bottle/sippy cup pocket and another compartment inside the large one which would be great for storing delicate clothing or sweaty clothing away from your clean clothing or towel.

The backside of the Lug Puddle Jumper even has a ventilated compartment for your gym or dress shoes.  It also has an ID pocket and another smaller zippered pocket, perfect for car or locker keys.

The front of the Lug Puddle Jumper has several small pockets with either a zippered or magnetized closure.  You could store rattles, pacifiers, small toys, etc. in these pockets.  There is even one large magnetized closure pocket, perfect for carrying a newspaper, magazine or book along with you.

Finally, on the front of the bag there is a mini-organizer pocket which contains a small mirror, room for makeup, a cell phone, pens, etc.  It truly seems that Lug thought of everything when designing the Puddle Jumper Overnight/Gym Bag!  I especially like how they even thought to protect the bottom of this bag with four sturdy, silver posts and a clear, vinyl protective covering too.

I think that Lug has done it again with the Puddle Jumper Overnight/Gym Bag and recommend this bag highly to anyone on the go and in need of a well-designed bag to keep up with them.  This is a beautiful and functional bag which would make a wonderful Christmas present for that special lady on your list!
