Being a first time mommy, I love anything and everything that reminds me of my daughter Riley and the wonderful change that has happened in my life from becoming a mom.

I've long been a fan of locket necklaces, but have never owned one simply because I have never found one that I REALLY liked.  Well, my search for the perfect locket was over once I saw all of the beautiful creations from JULIAN & Co.!  Read more to find out my experiences with the Round Locket - Small.

The Round Locket - Small from JULIAN & Co. is such a unique piece of jewelry.  The simple sterling cable chain and the round silver disc are not necessarily what you'd expect from a locket, but these two characteristics are exactly what drew me to it.  I have never really cared for the large, thick lockets with the hinges on the side which open up and show your pictures.  First of all, not too many people are going to stop and ask you what pictures you have in your locket anyway.  So, then you're stuck with this thick pendant with bulky hinges on one side which show ALL the time.

I'm so glad that the Round Locket - Small from JULIAN & Co. is designed so differently.  For one, there aren't any hinges on this locket, for it DOESN'T OPEN.  It's merely a classy silver disc with your choice of either baby hand prints or baby footprints on one side, and then when you flip the disc over you'll see the locket's picture and custom engraved message on the other side.

Although I tried and tried to get a picture of my beautiful locket which has Riley's name and birthdate engraved on it, my camera just wouldn't focus properly and so all of my pictures were blurry.  The locket I received looked exactly like the one shown in the picture below though.

I absolutely love this necklace because its simple elegance means that it goes with every single thing in my closet.  This locket looks great dressed up with your "little black dress" as well as dressed down with a t-shirt and jeans.  It's much better than a typical locket which opens up, because every time you move around, the round locket flips back and forth, showing the engraving as well as the picture inside.  People will now ask to see what's inside your locket, simply because they've already gotten a glimpse of it.  VERY CLEVER!

JULIAN & Co. makes this Round Locket - Small in a variety of styles, perfect for anyone!  As you can see in the picture above, even men could wear these beautiful lockets with their initial engraved on the front.  This would make the perfect gift for a baby shower, birthday, Christmas, Mother's or Father's Day, etc.  I can't say enough good things about this locket and am so happy that I finally have a locket necklace commemorating my daughter, that I love to wear everyday!
