Classic matchbox cars have been around for generations.  I can even remember having a set of various cars, trucks and motorcycles and playing with them as a little girl.  Okay, so I was a tad on the tomboy side!  But, I was completely unaware that matchbox cars have made a leap forward with technology.

I had the opportunity to review the coolest matchbox cars ever with the Krazy Kars Light Up Marble Racers from Skullduggery.  Keep reading to find out my experiences with these cars.

The Krazy Kars Light Up Marble Racers take the regular Marble Racers to a whole new level.  I wasn't aware that matchbox cars had come this far, in which you could now create a custom matchbox car from scratch and even insert a marble into the body of the car itself.  These cars come with their own stick-on decals in some pretty wild and neat designs, so that you can customize your car just the way you want it.  They even run on the standard 1:64 matchbox size track for some wild racing action!

Whereas the regular Marble Racers are for children ages 6 years and up due to the marble being removable, the Light Up Marble Racers are safe for children ages 3 years and up.  This is due to the fact that the light up marble is not removable, but is part of the matchbox car itself.  You still get the cool marble feature to the car, but now you don't have to worry about losing the marble and the entire car will now light up too!  Of course, you can still customize your car, just like before, and there are six different styles of Light Up Marble Racers to choose from:

• Police Car
• Fire Car
• Cyclone
• Volcano (my personal favorite!)
• Confetti
• Cat's Eye

I wasn't too sure how much Riley would like the Light Up Marble Racers, since she has never really played with matchbox cars before, but to my surprise, she wouldn't let them go!  Once she found out how to run them across the carpet or shake them fast in order to make the car light up, she was hooked!

The only downsides I found to the Light Up Marble Racers were that the car needed to really be shaken hard sometimes for the lights to come on and the decals weren't printed on the sticker sheet very well and some of the designs were cut off.  Other than that, these would make a really terrific addition to any matchbox car collection and would probably soon be a child's favorite racing car!
