Colossal Christmas Countdown:57 Days Until Christmas! |
|
I love interior decorating and making the rooms in my house look "just right"...in my opinion, that is! I have to say though, that I am no artist and although I love the look of designs painted onto walls in my home, there is no way that I could ever accomplish this feat myself. That's why I'm so grateful for wall decals! They give your walls that custom painted look without having to brush a stroke. Recently, I discovered a company called Magpie Decorative Painting, which helps you to transform your walls in very little time using their Muralette Wall Decals. I had the opportunity to review the Garden of Posies set for Riley's room. Keep reading to see how her room looks now! |
The Garden of Posies wall decals are even easier to apply than the kind of wall decals I've used in the past, for they are high-quality vinyl decals which are applied to your wall just like giant stickers! Unlike most wall decals, which require you to remove one piece of paper from the decal, adhere the decal to the wall, rub a smooth edge over the decal and then carefully peel off the front piece of paper, Muralette Wall Decals simply peel off the paper like stickers and adhere directly to your wall. TOO EASY!
The Garden of Posies set resembled gigantic hand-painted flowers and came on a large roll of paper, as shown below. There were 14 flowers, 14 stems, 15 leaves and 4 butterflies included with this set. The first step was to loosely place the decals on the wall so that you could arrange them exactly how you wanted them. You should try not to stick and unstick the decals too many times, for you weaken the strength of the adhesive when you do so.
With a little patience and a lot of creativity, I designed the mini "garden" on Riley's wall! I couldn't get over how easy this was to do and how much her wall looked like it was hand-painted.
You may be wondering why I put the flowers in two clusters on either side of her wall. The reason is because as soon as Riley moves into her "big girl" bed and out of her crib, her twin-sized bed will be located in the middle of this wall and I didn't want her beautiful garden to be covered up in the process. Now, I can't wait to see her bed resting right in between the Garden of Posies on her wall!
If you are looking to create some hand-painted "magic" on your walls, then I highly recommend checking out Magpie Decorative Painting. They have some super cute Muralette Wall Decals which couldn't be any easier to apply! If you're ready to spruce up your child's room this holiday season, then head on over and shop at Magpie!
