Happy Independence Day! If you choose to celebrate this summer holiday like most folks, then you're probably firing up the 'ol grill as we speak. Cooking our food out on an open flame is one of my favorite summer traditions, but having a successful cookout takes time, preparation and of course, amazing food.
More than any other season, I believe summer to be the season of fitness. I mean, the weather is warm, bikinis are in and if you're covered from head to toe in the hopes of camouflaging those extra pounds, everyone will notice. I've long been a fan of working out at home, for there are some terrific programs out there which really kick butt.
During the summer, less definitely seems to be more...including less clothing and less makeup. One thing that should never be forgotten during this season though, is a top-quality facial sunscreen, and NO, the tiny amount that is added in your makeup is not enough.
Since Independence Day falls on a Wednesday this year, my family decided to celebrate a little early. Of course, a 4th of July celebration just wouldn't be the same without firing up the 'ol grill, which definitely means that pork ribs will be on the menu!
