A World of Food by Carl WarnerWhat if the world were made of food?  What if there were ice cream castles, pumpkin cottages, broccoli forests, and even pasta palm trees?  In "A World of Food", acclaimed photographer Carl Warner invites you to explore colorful miniature landscapes made entirely of edible ingredients.

Each enchanting scene focuses on a different color: A yellow pasta hot-air balloon floats above Swiss cheese pyramids; a green cucumber bridge stretches over a lettuce-lined stream; a brown chocolate train races out of a cocoa tunnel.  Keep reading to learn more!

UV Skinz Summer is in full swing which means that Riley and I spend almost all of our time outside!  I'm a little concerned about this, because here in Texas, summer time means a TON OF SUN TIME!  I have really fair skin and Riley seems to have inherited that from me too.  Also, her father has a history of cancer in his family, so I can't ignore some startling statistics:

  • 1 in 5 Americans are victims of skin cancer
  • 90% of skin cancer is caused by the sun’s harmful rays

Sunscreen is great, but I'm so afraid that it will be rubbed, sweated or washed off.  I'm also fearful that I will miss some spots when applying the sunscreen or forget to reapply it when it's time to.  For these valid reasons, I'm glad that I got the chance to review the Cheryl Long Sleeve Full Zip Jacket from UV Skinz.  Keep reading to learn more!

I reviewed the Cheryl Long Sleeve Full Zip Jacket in White from UV Skinz, which retails for $43.95.

Educational Insights Preparing my daughter for success in school is something I don't take lightly.  So many benefits in life stem from a good education and I want to do my absolute best to make sure that Riley receives just that.  Of course, my ultimate goal is to have her fall in love with the process of learning itself, so that she can become a motivated, self-sufficient, lifelong learner.

Any toy that can combine solid fundamental lessons with a great deal of fun will always be at the top of my shopping list.  That's why I was so excited to have the chance to review the Talking Hot Dots Pen with Astronomy and Money Cards Sets from Educational Insights.  Would this toy be all I was hoping it would be?  Keep reading to find out!

The Simple Joys of Grandparenting by Abigail Gehring Being an only child, naturally my parents were over the moon when Riley, their only grandchild, was born.  They both light up like a 100W bulb anytime she comes around and see only the perfection in her actions, no matter the reality.

This special bond between grandchild and grandparent should be celebrated with plenty of traditions and events that are all their own.  Of course, because my parents are new grandparents, just as my husband and I are new parents, sometimes we're left floundering with plenty of good intentions and yet nothing to do.

That's why I was happy to learn of Abigail Gehring's newest book, "The Simple Joys of Grandparenting."  This compilation of everything from crafts, stories, recipes and educational projects will serve as a source of inspiration for celebrating those special times together for years to come.  Keep reading to learn more!

I reviewed the book, "The Simple Joys of Grandparenting" by Abigail Gehring, which retails for $19.95 but is currently on sale for $17.46 with FREE SHIPPING.

Man Cave Men...they're a group that loves getting together and bonding in their own special way, which typically involves burping, farting, drinking beer and the roasting of meat.  I've long believed that sporting events are the male equivalent of a Mary Kay or Tupperware party, though you'll never get a man to admit that in a million years.  :no no:

Well now, thanks to Man Cave, there's a way for men to have a little bonding time doing all the things they love.  Not only is this type of activity encouraged, at a Man Cave MEATing, it's downright required!  Keep reading to learn more!

I reviewed the Shot Board from Man Cave, which retails for $79.00.

Chicken Soup for the SoulInternationally known speakers Mark Victor Hansen and Jack Canfield knew the power of a good story long before Chicken Soup for the Soul was published. Keep reading to learn much more! After years of continuous audience requests that they put their stories into book form, Hansen & Canfield finally agreed.
