H-E-BH-E-B Beauty Pick of the Month This year, I've been chosen to participate in the H-E-B Beauty Bloggers program! Each and every month, I will be bringing you the H-E-B Beauty Pick of the Month with plenty of chances to nab some great prizes too!

If there's one thing I can't stand about my hair, it's how my baby fine blonde locks turn into an instant frizz-fest as soon as I step outside.  The heat and humidity have always wreaked havoc on any hair style I've tried, and all typical hair serums do is weigh it down, making my hair appear flat and greasy.

This month's beauty feature is a sure-fire serum to help keep me frizz-free, even when the Texas weather is at its most humid.  Keep reading to learn more!

Summer GamesSummers in Houston can be absolutely brutal, thanks to the heat and humidity around here.  When the heat index climbs to well over 100 degrees, my family often chooses to stay indoors.  Of course, just because we're not soaking up the sun's rays doesn't mean we don't want to have a ball, which is why we usually resort to playing family board games instead.

Recently, I reviewed two games for both young and old alike that's guaranteed to take the doldrums and ho-hums out of your summer days.  Keep reading to learn more about Sonny the Seal and Word Winder!

I reviewed the following two family games:

Sonny the Seal from Goliath Games, which retails for $24.99

Word Winder, which retails for $19.95

RadioShack's School of SmartIt’s often the last thing they look at before bed, and the first thing they check when they wake up. Yet, so many consumers have no idea what phone is right for them, what their contract means, how much their termination fee might be, the difference between pre-paid and post-paid, how much a replacement phone costs, or how to use the device correctly.

Well, RadioShack wants to take the time to make your back-to-school season rock by explaining the features of some of the best smartphones on the market today.  Keep reading to learn more!

MOBI TechnologiesMy daughter is definitely a combination of two critters: a bookworm and a night owl!  :big grin:  She rarely falls asleep when her head hits the pillow at night and usually likes to read a few of her books instead.  Michael and I have strict rules about Riley's lights being off at night so that she can rest better and eventually doze off, but we do allow her to have a small night light in her bed to read by.

The problem is, this night light is made for adults, not children.  It's hard to hold, uses batteries and sometimes gets a little warmer than I'd like it to when it's accidentally left on.  That's why I was thrilled to try the new MOBI TykeLights AnimaLamp for Riley's late-night reading habit.

I reviewed the TykeLights AnimaLamp Portable LED Light from MOBI Technologies which retails for $24.95, but is currently on sale for $24.67 with FREE SHIPPING.

Boys & Girls Clubs of AmericaBeing an adolescent in today's world is tough...much tougher I'm afraid than it was when I was a kid.  Unfortunately, our society seems to become more and more kid-unfriendly by the day, and if you also happen to be a child who doesn't have the best home life, you might think the future is indeed bleak.

That's why I'm thankful that the Boys & Girls Clubs of America provide a buoy of positive influence in a sea of adversity for these deserving youths.  Now thanks to the Tools for Back to School initiative, everybody can win!  Simply test your back to school knowledge and help a child in need earn free school supplies.  Keep reading to learn more!
