It's an age-old battle that moms have been fighting for as long as we've been packing school lunches...how do we keep our children's food cold until noon? Since children don't have easy access to a refrigerator and most lunch bags must be stored in a child's locker until it's time to eat, we are very limited in what foods can be carried for lunch. Just think, if we were somehow able to keep our children's foods cold for several hours, we could pack a greater variety of healthy foods instead of falling into the same boring lunch rut
Look at this healthy foods list to see what could be possible if only your child's lunch bag would keep food colder for longer:
- Carrot sticks and cottage cheese
- Yogurt
- Guacamole dip with pita chips
- Romaine lettuce salad with low-fat dressing
- Grilled chicken wraps and more!
That's why single moms Jeannette and Melissa decided to invent the Packit Lunch Bag. This revolutionary lunch bag acts as your ice pack and it stays cold for up to 10 hours. It's conveniently sized at 8"x10"x5" (8"x5"x2" folded) so that it is easy to fit in your freezer, locker or take on-the-go. Packits are not just for school lunches either. Use them for carrying baby bottles, at sporting events or while on the road, basically anywhere you need to keep items cold. It's non-toxic, sweat-proof and PVC and lead-free too.
If you've ever thought about trying the Packit lunch bag, now is your chance. For a limited time, Packit is having a buy one, get one sale so that you can grab two Packits for only $19.95!

I am very interested in the pack-it lunch sacks. My daughter has to take lunch with her to school everyday and a lot of times I forget to put her ice pack in the freezer the night before.
Hi Amy,
I wish I could tell you from personal experience whether or not the PackIt worked, but they didn't send one to me for review. From the reviews I've seen online, the opinions are lukewarm. Some folks love them and some folks not so much. It seems that everyone agrees that the PackIts don't stay cold for a full 10 hours as the commercials claim, but I think the key is that the PackIts themselves have to go in the freezer the night before. Have a great day!
I've been on the search for a lunch bag that would keep my daughters lunch cold at least 5 hours until she gets lunch. Everything I've tried before is "so-so" and I don't trust it fully, so I am limited to what I can pack her. I'd really love something that was not only eco-friendly, but kept foods cold long enough that I'd feel comfortable packing something perishable.
I just got one of these bags. It keeps everything I pack for my son cold. I know this because when he comes home from school the inside of the bag is still cold. I like how i don't have to put any more ice packs inside and worry about the bag being too heavy for my son to take to school. Every one should try this product it is amazing.
That's really good to know Carol! Thanks so much for stopping by and letting me know how the Packit is working out for you. Have a great day!
