I can honestly say that I have NEVER used anything like this product before and can't stop raving about it. In fact, I even became an independent brand representative for Nerium International because that's how much I believe in this skin care solution.
The one thing I wish that I had done differently though, was take some very detailed pictures of myself before starting my NeriumAD treatment. My husband has noticed a difference in my overall skin texture and tone as well as the state of my wrinkles and sun damage since using Nerium and now he's decided to take the plunge as well.

I'm back with a question for you. I did purchase the Sea buckthorn daytime facial cream by Sibu, however in checking all the ingredients I discovered the following:
Sodium Levulinate contains salt of Levulinic acid, olive oil unsaponifiables appears to come from fatty acids, Shea Butter also contains fatty acids, Panthenol is the alcohol form of pantothenic acid and Sodium Phytate is a salt form of the corn-derived plant component phytic acid.
My question is are all fatty acids created equal? If acid in products is not advisable to be used in conjunction with Nerium, is the Sibu product really okay?
I researched (on the internet) ingredients in Bare Minerals, Eucerin, Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture, Sibu and Olay moisturizer. All contain some of the following: fatty acid, pantothenic acid, phytic acid, ascorbic acid, isotearic acid, stearic acid, organic acid, polyhydroxystearic acid, oleic acid, amino acid, acryllic acid, EDTA (acid) sulfuric acid, stearate caprlate which comes from esters of acid.
Melissa I am hoping your background in science will enable you to put my mind to rest about what all these "acids" are!

Great question and one that might be better asked of the folks at Nerium themselves, but I'll give it a go as to what my unqualified answer is. Basically, an acid in and of itself is not a bad thing and there are varying degrees of just how acidic something is. If any substance has a pH lower than 7 (the pH of water) then it is considered an acid. Human skin has a pH ranging from 4.5 to 6, so even our skin is acidic and Nerium is definitely meant to be used with human skin.
The thing to keep in mind and why Nerium advises against products that are acidic is that the more acidic something is, the more likely the proteins and enzymes in Nerium will be denatured or made useless. In my opinion, Sibu is completely safe and works well in conjunction with Nerium. You mainly want to keep away from using a product that contains salicylic acid or even a toner containing a lot of alcohol right before applying Nerium. If you do use these types of products, as I do, simply rinse your face with water to wash the acid off and wait a bit before applying the Nerium.
If you're just using Sibu as a daily moisturizer after washing off your Nerium from last night, then washing your face again before applying Nerium again at night, then that should be perfectly fine. Hope that helps! :)
