Monopoly Millionaire Lets You Live the Dream and Grab the Bling

5/5 - (1 vote)

Monopoly is one of my favorite board games of all time.  I've spent countless hours amassing my imaginary fortunes and planning my strategies to dominate all.  Unfortunately, after a while, even the classics can become a little stale, which is why Monopoly has revamped itself with a brand new edition: Monopoly Millionaire.

The main change in this version of Monopoly is that instead of trying to be the one person who sends everyone else to bankruptcy, it's a race to be the first player to accumulate one million dollars.  Monopoly Millionaire has a few more surprises in store too.  Keep reading to learn more!

I reviewed the Monopoly Millionaire game from Hasbro, which retails for $22.99 with FREE SHIPPING.

Become the First Monopoly Millionaire and Win It All

Live the millionaire lifestyle dream with the new Monopoly Millionaire game.  For the first time, the first person to earn a million dollars in the game wins!  As you accumulate wealth in the game, you upgrade your mover - you might start off with a paper airplane, but quickly end up piloting a private jet.

The high-end-themed board, stacks of cash (instead of single bills) and lifestyle cards (such as winning "business hero of the decade") will introduce players to a luxury-themed Monopoly experience.  Even the property names have been changed to reflect more "bling". Properties like Paradise Island and Fortune Valley have replaced the traditional Boardwalk and Park Place, respectively.

Monopoly Millionaire is designed for 2-4 players, ages 8 years old and up.  I like how this version of the classic has kept just enough of the traditional rules and features to please both old and young players alike, yet has so much more style and swagger.  I love having the option to upgrade my playing piece, which is so much more of a status symbol in Monopoly Millionaire than in previous versions of the game.  I also like being able to flaunt stacks of cash around instead of the usual single bills.

I noticed that with all of this new wealth, my husband and I seemed to talk more trash during the game, which was all in good fun and made the entire experience better overall.  Also, it was neat to have to try and change your Monopoly strategy completely, for now, longevity isn't as important as grabbing that cash as quickly as possible.  After all, the first millionaire wins!  :money:
