As you may remember reading in my previous posts, I was lucky enough to be chosen as a Maytag Dependable Laundry Mom!  With that designation comes the perk of trying out the new Maytag Bravos XL High-Efficiency Top Loading Washer and Steam Dryer in my own home.

I'm happy to report that I've been using the Maytag Bravos XL pair to clean my family's never-ending supply of dirty clothes for over four months now.  In this final post, I'll speak about my experiences and overall impression of both the Bravos XL and the Maytag brand itself.

I'll also tell you more about the new and improved stain-busting features of the Bravos XL duo and why this is definitely NOT your mama's washer and dryer!

The Maytag Bravos XL Was Designed With Busy Families In Mind

The Bravos XL has a wide variety of features guaranteed to save you both time and money, while still delivering unbelievable cleaning power.  The great thing is that most of these features are automatic so that you don't have to worry about remembering a long list of "to-dos" every time you try and wash a load of laundry.

INTELLIFILL

A low-water washplate wash system. The washer automatically adjusts the water level to the load size—no water level selector is needed.

AUTO TEMPERATURE CONTROL

This regulates incoming hot and cold water, blending the temperatures for optimal and consistent cleaning. The ATC is automatically turned on when a cycle is selected.

CONCENTRATED CLEANING

Low-water cleaning means concentrated cleaning.  Rather than diluting detergent as done in an agitator-style washer, this washer delivers the detergent directly to the soils.

CYCLE OPTIONS GALORE

With so many cycle options you can choose from Allergen Cycle, which helps eliminate 95 percent of common household allergens, to
deep cleaning Cold Cycle, which provides the cleaning performance of a warm water wash cycle with the energy savings of cold water, to specialize every wash to the exact needs of your family’s laundry.

SMOOTH CLOSE LID

The washer's SmoothClose, Wide Opening Washer Lid uses a unique hinge design that allows the lid to close slowly.  This helps to
prevent fingers from getting smashed or clothes from getting snagged.

Luckily, even after the stains are gone, the Maytag Bravos XL is still hard at work keeping your clothes looking great.  Once you toss them in the High-Efficiency Electric or Gas Steam Dryer, you can rest assured that your clothes won't do an incredible shrinking number on you.

Thanks to the Advanced Moisture Sensing system, the days of shrinkage are finally behind me.  My family's clothes are dried to our exact specifications, no matter how large or small the loads are.  What's more, the Auto Refresh cycle helps relax the wrinkles in your clothes with steam so that you can look fresh pressed in a matter of minutes.

I don't know about you, but my mama's washer definitely couldn't do all of that!  Remembering back to her ancient washer/dryer pair, it seems now that they did little more than get the clothes wet and swish them around.  Stains rarely ever came out, so once you dropped that greasy piece of pizza on the front of your white dress shirt, it was better to toss the shirt in the trash, rather than in the washing machine.

I also can't tell you how many times I wore pants that were too short or long-sleeved shirts that looked more like 3/4 sleeve shirts, simply because our dryer shrunk everything.  Apparently the heating element was very finicky and rarely followed the temperature dial set on the dryer.  Since I have long legs and finding pants the right length is very difficult, I was always brokenhearted when our heat-crazy dryer would then shrink everything!  :mad:

Thankfully, with the Bravos XL from Maytag, those days are truly ancient history!

Maytag has been a phenomenal brand from start to finish.  Even before our Bravos XL arrived, we were given the royal treatment in terms of service.  After the washer/dryer duo arrived, we again received the royal treatment from the amazing machines themselves. Not only has our time spent doing laundry decreased dramatically, our clothes are fresh and clean without one stain remaining.

I've always heard from my friends and family that "it doesn't get better than a Maytag" and after my experience with the Bravos XL washing machine and dryer, I'd have to agree unequivocally!  :thumbs up:
