I recently had the chance to review the GreenPan Dubai Ovenware 9" Cake Pan to see for myself how GreenPan cookware is different from the competition.  Keep reading to learn more!

GreenPan uses the new Thermolon non-stick technology, an environmentally friendly alternative to the conventional non-stick fry pan and other non-stick cookware.  Thermolon is completely PTFE and PFOA free, consumes less energy during the application process and cannot be overheated.

It is also a better conductor of heat than traditional coatings.  The perfect heat distribution allows even heating and cooking on low to medium temperatures, which equals lower energy bills and a friend to the environment!

The mineral coating used on all GreenPan products is not only heat resistant up to 850 degrees Fahrenheit, but also combines perfect non-stick properties that are scratch resistant.  Furthermore, Thermolon is a green coating because during the application process, there is 60% less CO2 emissions in comparison with conventional non-stick coatings.

The Thermolon coating makes GreenPan cookware extremely effortless to clean, for the food does not stick to the pan and releases easily.  Unfortunately, due to the harsh abrasiveness of dishwasher detergent, you cannot wash your GreenPan in the dishwasher for fear of damaging the Thermolon coating.  It is best to wash GreenPan cookware in warm soapy water using only a soft sponge.
