First, let me say that in my home, the kitchen is the hub of our family.  It seems that most of our activities revolve around the kitchen in one way, shape or form, and I've always dreamed of having an active message center there where we can leave notes for each other.  Our refrigerator is housed in a large wooden cabinet, of sorts, and I disliked the boring blank space.

Because this cabinet is made from stained wood, I couldn't hang a picture there because I would permanently damage the wood itself.  I finally decided that with a little help from some fabulous vinyl decals, I could create a perfect family messaging center.

I found a large roll of self-adhesive chalkboard that would allow us to write notes back and forth, but once I adhered it to the wood, I knew I needed much more to really make this space pop.  Thankfully, Laura at Say It on the Wall came to my rescue.

She actually allowed me to choose a completely custom design based around the "Family - forever, for always, no matter what" wall art they carried.  Not only did I get to select the two colors I wanted for this decal, she worked with me directly to customize this piece for the exact size I needed too.

She even helped create the perfect embellishments on both top and bottom of the wall quote.  I sent her a picture of what I had in mind and she picked out the perfect embellishment, based on my preferences, sized it correctly and let me choose the color too!  As you can see from the pictures below, the wall art I received from Say It on the Wall matches my kitchen's decor perfectly and really makes my new family messaging center POP!
