With all of the high-tech toys and computer games for children these days, sometimes it's difficult to get them up and moving around outside. I believe it's incredibly essential for children to remain physically fit and active, so I love it when a toy comes along that is just so much fun, they don't even realize how much energy they're exerting while playing with it!
The PlasmaCar from PlaSmart Inc., offers kids an option to move and groove while riding along and it requires no batteries whatsoever. This toy is 100% kid powered! How does it work and was it easy to do? Keep reading to find out!
The PlasmaCar moves using your own energy for its power. Simply turn the steering wheel back and forth quickly, and the PlasmaCar springs into action. Assembling this car was fairly easy too and I was able to complete it in under 10 minutes. All that was required was to snap on the back two wheels and secure the handlebar to the front wheels.
The only part I had trouble with was tightening the nut on the handlebar, since I do not own a 17 mm socket wrench. Thankfully, PlaSmart included the appropriate socket with the PlasmaCar and I was able to insert a screwdriver into the holes of the socket and tighten the nut up that way.
Riley, being only two years old, had a little trouble using the PlasmaCar, but surprisingly, she was actually able to ride it a little. I didn't expect this, for I knew she was too young for this toy, but that just shows how easy the PlasmaCar is to operate! I was also pleasantly surprised that the PlasmaCar will actually hold anyone weighing up to 220 pounds, so both my husband and I are able to have fun with this toy too!
As soon as I got on the PlasmaCar to ride it, I was impressed at how sturdy and durable it seemed, even though it is mostly made from plastic. I didn't feel for one moment that this toy wasn't going to support me or not work. I started turning the handlebar fast and furiously, and have to admit that I didn't exactly burn up the concrete!
I was a little surprised at how slowly I went on the PlasmaCar, but I didn't have a problem moving around on it at all. As a matter of fact, I thought it was really cool how I could make very sharp turns and even go backwards with the PlasmaCar.
I would definitely recommend using this toy on as smooth a surface as possible, for you will go much faster if you can provide less friction to the wheels. I tried out the PlasmaCar inside our house on our marble floor and it did go much faster than outside on the pavement. If you have access to a really smooth area like a gym floor or a tennis court, you will absolutely LOVE how much fun this toy is! Watch the video below to see how people both young and old are having a great time with the PlasmaCar.
If you are looking for a wonderfully fun toy this holiday season, which will have your child up and moving in no time, then I highly recommend the PlasmaCar from PlaSmart Inc. It is simple to assemble, very safe and durable and extremely easy to use. With the PlasmaCar, you can twist and turn your way around the neighborhood with a smile plastered on your face the entire time!
