Back before I underwent Lasik corrective eye surgery, I wore prescription glasses and sunglasses for years. I first noticed in high school that I was having problems seeing what the teacher was writing on the blackboard and discovered soon thereafter that I was nearsighted. I also soon found out just how expensive prescription glasses were!
I would have loved to have more than one pair of glasses to match my different moods and styles, but due to the expense, this was impossible. It also cost me a pretty penny to finally buy a pair of prescription sunglasses and when I accidentally lost them while tubing down the Guadalupe River, I almost cried! :tear:
Thankfully, those days of expensive prescription eyewear are long gone thanks to online retailers like 39 Dollar Glasses.com. They generously allowed me to review a pair of glasses of my choice. Keep reading to see which style I chose and learn more about my experience with 39 Dollar Glasses.com!
39 Dollar Glasses.com is an online retailer founded by a group of doctors wanting to offer an inexpensive solution for prescription glasses and sunglasses. What they've created is a store which bypasses the costly middleman to bring you high-quality, American-made prescription eyewear at an average savings of 70 percent. 39 Dollar Glasses.com even offers some of the top brands in the business, such as Varilux no-line bifocals and Transitions Lenses, at a fraction of the cost.
I was excited to receive the $75 gift certificate from 39 Dollar Glasses.com, so that I could go shopping for a cute new pair of sunglasses for Riley and experience the 39 Dollar Glasses.com product selection for myself. I have to say that finding a great pair of kids' sunglasses was quick and easy and I was actually surprised at the large selection they offered.
I was also thrilled to learn that all of the glasses offered by 39 Dollar Glasses.com come complete with Polycarbonate Lenses. These lenses are extremely safe for children and are also the most impact-resistant and lightest lenses on the market. Within a few minutes, I had chosen the Chipmunk Pink/White Kids' Sunglasses. Aren't they adorable?
If you're not quite sure how these sunglasses will look, since you can't exactly try them on for yourself, 39 Dollar Glasses.com has a nifty face shape model on the right hand side which will give you a general idea. Since Riley has a round face (just like me), I just clicked on the round shape in the pink toolbar (for female) and a cute little girl wearing this style of glasses popped up so I could better gauge how they'd look on Riley's face. Still looked adorable, so I ordered them!
For a slight upcharge, I was able to select a super chic purse-like eyeglass case which Riley absolutely LOVES! They have several other premium eyeglass cases available to suit anyone's taste and to help break away from the same old boring case. Riley's glasses looked great, but they didn't fit her face that well. Thankfully, most eyeglass stores will make slight adjustments for free. The next time we're around such a store, we'll get them adjusted for her.
I am very happy with the overall shopping experience, selection and quality of the frames and lenses from 39 Dollar Glasses.com. With their top-quality, brand name options coupled with their extreme discounts, you can finally have many different styles of both prescription glasses and sunglasses without breaking the bank.
Disclosure: I received the Chipmunk Pink/White Kids' Sunglasses from 39 Dollar Glasses.com in order to facilitate my review. No other compensation was received. This product review is based on my own personal experiences with this item and is completely honest and objective. |
