I have to admit that since receiving my new Amazon Kindle, I'm a total e-book junkie! My favorite time of the day to read is at night, when the house is quiet, and I'm calm and relaxed. Of course, because a Kindle doesn't have a backlight, I find that reading my Kindle at night like this can sometimes strain my eyes, which I know isn't good for them.
Thankfully, Ozeri has invented a super ingenious Kindle light, called the Kandle Flex, which simply clips onto the top of your Amazon Kindle and floods your reading material with light. Keep reading to learn more about it!
The Amazon Kindle screen has been designed to be as easy to read as paper - which is great throughout the day, however, when it comes to the night or in dark places things become a little more tricky. Because the Kindle screen is not backlit, it can be a struggle to read at night, and you should therefore have a reading light that doesn't put any extra strain on your eyes.
Now with three bright white X2 LED lights, the Ozeri Kandle Flex lights up your Kindle perfectly in low light conditions. The Kandle Flex has it's own battery so you won't have to worry about draining any power from your Kindle either, though personally, I wish there was a way for you to use EITHER battery or Kindle power to operate the Kandle book light.
A major advantage of the Kandle Flex over the Ozeri Kandle or Kandle II is that you can adjust the position of the light thanks to its flexible arm. This means you should always be able to get an even supply of light across your screen from whichever angle you are reading. It also means that you no longer have to suffer with a glare on the screen or change the way you hold the Kindle, just to accommodate the light source. With the flexible arm, the light will always accommodate you.
The Kandle Flex from Ozeri is designed to be easy to fit, so that it won't damage your Kindle when attaching or removing it. The WideLip grip works perfectly without blocking text on the page and is extremely easy to use and sturdy when attached. When not in use, the Kandle Flex can be used as a free-standing night light.
The Kandle Flex now comes with two adjustable light settings (low light and bright light), which allows you to choose between a strong beam or a more subtle light depending on the supply of light that you and your Kindle already have. When the Kandle Flex is not in use, you can store it inside the black pouch which comes complete with this product.
The Kandle Flex even contains a spare set of CR2032 batteries, so that it will be a long time before needing to purchase new ones. The LED light bulbs themselves are guaranteed to last a lifetime!
I really liked using the Ozeri Kandle Flex book light for the Amazon Kindle. The only thing I wish were different was that the flex neck itself was a little more sturdy and rigid. I found that the arm bent and moved too easily so that sometimes it didn't retain its position while reading. Other than that, this Kindle light is tops and a must-have for any Kindle lover!
Disclosure: I received the Kandle Flex Kindle Light from Ozeri in order to facilitate my review. No other compensation was received. This product review is based on my own personal experiences with this item and is completely honest and objective. |
