Jewelry is one of my favorite items to shop for because wearing jewelry can make you look terrific as well as be an instant conversation starter all at the same time!  I've always been drawn to unique jewelry because I love to make a statement and I've recently discovered a very original line of handcrafted jewelry from Luscious Metals.

I must say that the hardest part of conducting this review was simply selecting which of their fabulous styles I wanted to receive.  The teacher in me loved the Red Apple necklace, while the romantic in me appreciated the Pierced Heart necklace.  In the end, the Blackbird necklace called to me (figuratively speaking) because it reminded me of my fondness of nature as well as my adoration of the Beatles White album and their infamous song "Blackbird".

I was also thrilled at how I was given the chance to customize the gem used in the blackbird's eye with one of 12 birthstones.  I chose my own birthstone, which is an emerald, and thought that a green-eyed bird would look beautiful.  I was right!  The blackbird handcrafted necklace did indeed look gorgeous!  The sterling silver bird itself had a delicate feather effect on its outside, while on the other side, the word "blackbird" was inscribed.

One of the neatest parts of this necklace had to be the chain the blackbird pendant came on.  The chain was an 18" sterling bead chain with small beads interspersed at regular intervals.  Couple this unique chain with the equally unique custom blackbird pendant and you have one well-designed necklace that is sure to turn heads.
