The Peek-a-Boo Color Muffins toy from Learning Resources is designed to help teach colors, matching and fine motor skills to children ages 2 years old and up.  It contains 5 durable, plastic 2-piece muffins and 5 fruit fillings that store in a cute, rotating stand.  Children are encouraged to match the corresponding colored fruit to the matching colored muffin cup, though many more educational activities can also be accomplished using this toy.

Any young child would enjoy playing peek-a-boo with these muffins as well as storing them in the rotating stand and giving it a spin.  Parents can easily introduce a conversation with their tots about healthy eating, food groups and the daily goal of "eating a rainbow", as well as counting and sorting.  You could mix up just two of the fruits and have your child problem solve as to which ones don't belong.
