Do you suffer from frizzy, unruly hair? A Keratin Treatment might very well be a solution, but they are quite costly and might not be in your hair care budget. Suave Keratin Infusion hair care products are March's beauty feature from H-E-B and I had the chance to sample two items guaranteed to leave your hair looking and feeling wonderful. Keep reading to learn more!
Suave Keratin Infusion 30-Day Smoothing Kit
Suave Keratin Infusion Dry Shampoo
This refreshing dry shampoo contains keratin and absorbs oils to help cleanse your hair so it's clean, smooth and manageable between regular washes. It can even be used on washed hair for an extra kick of volume and texture, as well as to absorb oil throughout the day.
Down here in Texas, where the humidity and excessive heat can cause your scalp's oil glands to go into overdrive, a great dry shampoo is a wonderful tool to have in your hair styling arsenal. I can guarantee that as the temperatures increase over the next few months, I'll be adding this product to my already washed hair to help keep it looking great throughout the day.
Next, I had the chance to review the Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion 30-Day Smoothing Kit from H-E-B. I was excited to give this at-home keratin treatment a try, but unfortunately, only certain hair types will work well with this product. You are not advised to use this particular 30-Day Smoothing Kit if you have any of the following:
- Permed or chemically straightened hair
- Bleached, highlighted, double-processed or extreme shades of red-dyed hair (basically anyone who has lightened their hair)
- Hair that has been colored in the past week
- Dry, brittle or damaged hair
- Chemically relaxed hair
One application lasts for up to 30 days
What is the 30 Day Smoothing Kit?
Keratin Infusion 30 Day Smoothing Kit is a simple, at-home alternative to expensive salon Keratin Treatments. This chemical smoothing system, formulated with Keratin, loosens curls and waves from the inside, for hair that is straighter, smoother, and more manageable for up to 30 days.
What should I expect?
Appropriate for curly, wavy hair. Results may vary depending on hair type. Hair will begin to return to its normal texture overtime but will continue to be smoother up to 30 days.
How does it work?
There are three easy steps:
- Step 1 – Smoothing Cream infused with keratin loosens, smoothens, and detangles curls and waves.
- Step 2- Cuticle Seal Cream with Keralock™ Technology (which uses a keratin complex) reforms keratin bonds inside the hair fiber and eliminates frizz for long lasting smoothness and manageability.
- Step 3 – Heat Defense Leave-In Conditioner provides ultimate moisturization to protect hair while heat styling. Formulated for use with blow dryers or flat irons for optimal shine and smoothness.
Read warnings and instruction insert carefully.
What is in the kit?
Suave Keratin Infusion 30-Day Smoothing Kit contains:
- Smoothing Cream
- Cuticle Seal Cream
- Heat Defense Leave-In Conditioner
- Comb
- Gloves
- Instructions for use
Disclosure: I received the Suave Keratin Infusion hair care products mentioned above from H-E-B in order to facilitate my review. No other compensation was received. This product review is based on my own personal experiences with this item and is completely honest and objective. |

Hi, I found your blog quite by accident, but then noticed that you're semi-promoting the Suave Keratin Smoothing kit- beware of this kit- it is melting and frying people's hair- it is a chemical straightener- has SAME main ingredient as perms! Even people who did the questionnaire have had disastrous results- hair falling out in clumps, breakage, bald spots, chemical burns to scalps. Just check the reviews for this product on Amazon if you have ANY doubt to what I'm saying. Please don't "giveaway" this potentially disastrous product, your reader could very well have the same effects (on Amazon over 200 people had bad results while less than 50 had good- that's not good odds)
Hello. I also ran into your blog by mistake. "Lori" is correct. There is now a pending Class Action LAWSUIT due to the damage it has caused to so many of the people that used it. In addition, there are findings that extra chemical ingredients were found in this product that were NOT listed on the box. This product was FDA approved and released for sale in January 2012. FDA recalled this product in June 2012. Please share this with your followers. Thank you.
Hi Alma,
Wow! Thanks so much for stopping by and posting this valuable information. I never tried this product personally, for my hair type didn't qualify, but now I'm even more thankful that I didn't.
