Now that back-to-school is officially here and autumn is just around the corner, it's time to start looking ahead to what our winter wear will be this year. Since kids grow like weeds, they can rarely wear the same coat two years in a row and my little tumbleweed is no exception.
Eddie Bauer is a brand that has been keeping both Michael and me warm for years and our closets contain many of their well-designed coats and jackets. So, I was thrilled to learn that Eddie Bauer has many well-designed and stylish outerwear options for children too. I couldn't wait to outfit Riley with the Girls' Downlight Sweater and Eddie Bauer generously obliged. Keep reading to learn more about one of this fall's must-haves!
The Eddie Bauer Girls' Downlight Sweater combines comfort, warmth and style together in a smaller size of the best-selling original. It's offered in five fun, bright colors that are guaranteed to turn heads. Your little girl will be nice and toasty while wearing the Girls' Downlight Sweater thanks to the generous 600 fill premium European goose down.
Other well-designed features of this jacket include two zippered hand-warmer pockets and elastic binding at the cuffs to further banish those cooler autumn temperatures. It has a high zip-up neck to keep little girls warm when the wind starts to blow and even a sewn-in name tag so that your child's name and phone number can be written inside. That way, if your child's Downlight Sweater gets inadvertently left behind, a good Samaritan will have no trouble returning it to you.
I love the two-tone stripe effect around the main zipper and the fleece inner-lining on the upper part of the zipper. This great feature makes it so that the zipper won't rub uncomfortably against your child's face or neck when they have the collar up. Lastly, the Girls' Downlight Sweater contains the First Ascent logo near the left front zippered pocket and the Eddie Bauer logo on the bottom left sleeve.
My daughter was elated to see her new Downlight Sweater in Cerise and wanted to wear it immediately...even in scorching August temperatures! :whew: Although it's a little too big for her to wear at the moment, I know that soon she will look just adorable in this goose down jacket.
I honestly don't have one bad thing to say about the Eddie Bauer Girls' Downlight Sweater. They have literally thought of everything when designing this jacket. Now when the weather turns a little cool or super windy, Riley will be stylishly prepared. If you are looking for a well-designed, all-around jacket for back-to-school, then by all means, purchase either the Girls' or Boys' Downlight Sweater from Eddie Bauer!
