Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Breast cancer deaths in America have been declining for more than a decade. Much of that success is due to early detection and better treatments for women. I strongly encourage women to get a mammogram. ~ Larry Craig

October is one of my favorite months of the year for many reasons...autumn is my favorite season, Halloween is my favorite holiday, my daughter was born during this month and breast cancer awareness is one of my favorite charities.  Breast cancer has touched my family's life deeply, for my mother-in-law, Jannell Cleaver, died from this illness back in 2003.

Because cancer took away Michael's mother so soon, she never had the chance to see my husband and I get married, visit us in our first home we bought together or meet her wonderful granddaughter.  In order to do my part to raise money for the cure, I've joined forces with Chevy in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer...and you can too!

For every new Like on the Gotta Love Chevy Houston page, $1 will be contributed to the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiative.  Donating to a remarkable charity will never be easier, so please stop what you're doing and head on over to the Gotta Love Chevy Houston page now and give it a BIG thumbs up!  :thumbs up:

Oransi It's every household's never-ending chore...LAUNDRY!  I swear, I don't understand how just three people can dirty up so many clothes so fast, but my family always seems to manage.  I actually shudder to think just how much we spend on laundry detergent as well as on the water and electricity needed to run our washing machine and dryer.  :money:

Furthermore, I recently discovered the damaging effects that our laundry detergent has on the environment.  Thankfully, Oransi has set out to provide a more cost-effective, eco-friendly and chemical-free way to clean our clothes with the Robby Wash Laundry Ball.  Keep reading to learn more!

I reviewed the Robby Wash Laundry Ball from Oransi, which retails for $32.95 with FREE SHIPPING.

Tria Beauty makes a blue light acne treatment easy and convenient enough for daily home use with the Skin Perfecting Blue Light.  I've been using this device consistently for two weeks now and want to share my experiences and before/after pictures.  Keep reading to learn more!

KleenexBeing a parent is never easy, for there are always so many valuable lessons to consistently teach our children.  In order to demonstrate these essential principles, I've found that its best to make sure we are always practicing them daily ourselves.

It ain't no fun if the homies can't have none. ~ Snoop Dogg

One such lesson that my husband and I have tried to teach Riley since birth is sharing.  Now, a toddler is not always the best student, since at this age, they are greedy and self-serving by nature.  I have to admit though that I'm very pleased so far with Riley's sharing skills.

She knows that we, as human beings, are not self-sufficient.  There are very few times in our lives when we will have absolutely everything we need and in order for everyone to be happy and fulfilled, we must learn to share freely with each other.  In the end, possessions don't matter.  It's the good that we bring to the world and the smiles we create on the faces of those around us that do.
