ZometoolI have to come clean right now and admit that I'm a total Science geek!  I love anything and everything Science related and fortunately, my daughter seems to be following in my footsteps.  To this day, when I read the ingredients in a tube of toothpaste or box of cereal, I try to remember back to my days of organic chemistry in order to visualize what the chemical makeup of that ingredient looks like.  :geek:

In Science, models are essential and an indispensable tool for discovery.  So when I learned that Nobel Prize-winning scientists have used Zometool, a children's building toy, to further their own investigations, I just had to see this amazing toy for myself.  Keep reading to learn more about a brainy gift giving idea for your budding scientist or engineer.

I reviewed the Creator 1 System Kit from Zometool which retails for $59.00, but is currently on sale for $58.99 with FREE SHIPPING.

The Polar ExpressAll Aboard!  The Polar Express comes to life this holiday season as the Texas State Railroad rolls out of the station bound for the "North Pole!" Come early and climb aboard with your family to cozy-up and enjoy our festively-decorated vintage train cars.  Dancing chefs deliver hot chocolate and a cookie to each guest to savor while music from the Polar Express movie plays en route to the North Pole.  Make sure to have your tickets handy, because your conductor will be by shortly to punch each child's ticket.  Before arriving at the North Pole, the iconic book, The Polar Express is read as your Chef turns the pages to share the beautiful illustrations in the original book.

With the station far away, The Polar Express magically arrives at the outskirts of Santa's North Pole village, where Santa Claus himself and his elves joyously welcome the train!  As you stay comfortably settled and warm in your seat, Santa and his helper elf board the train!  During the return trip, Santa will greet each child with his signature holiday spirit and the first gift of Christmas: a bell cut from his sleigh.  It is said that only children and those who still believe can actually hear the bell ring.  Join in the singing as your Chef or Conductor lead Christmas caroling on the 30-minute return trip.

Hunter Fan CompanyDuring the fall, we frequently hear tips about how to better weatherproof our homes for the cold winter season that lies ahead. I haven't read a tip list yet which didn't mention using a programmable thermostat, and that's probably because 50 - 70 percent of our homes' energy consumption is directly related to its HVAC system. A programmable thermostat not only makes saving energy easy, it also saves us plenty of money quite effortlessly.

I have to admit that I didn't think there were many differences between various models of programmable thermostats...until I discovered the Universal Internet Thermostat from Hunter Fan Company.  Ever been away from home and wish that you had done differently in regards to your thermostat's settings?  I know I have!  But now, with Hunter's Universal Internet Thermostat, a quick reprogram is immediately at your fingertips.  Keep reading to learn more!

I reviewed the Universal Internet Thermostat from Hunter Fan Company which retails for $99.99, but is currently on sale for $78.22.

ArbonneOne of my absolute favorite fragrances is that of a gardenia flower.  Every since I was a little girl, I've been enamored with the smell of gardenia and have a ton of candles in my house containing that scent.  Unfortunately, I've never been able to find a woman's perfume that smelled predominantly of gardenia...until now.

Arbonne is an innovative new company which has developed an amazing line of botanical-based skin care products.  I've been a fan of Arbonne products for quite some time, yet never realized that they made women's fragrances.  So of course when I learned that there was an Arbonne perfume which smelled of gardenias, I was super excited.  Here's my take on the must-have holiday fragrance from Arbonne, The Angel.

I reviewed The Angel (1.7 oz.) Women's Fragrance from Arbonne, which retails for $87.00.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Arbonne The Angel goes to support the Arbonne Charitable Foundation.
