Crest WhitestripsThere's one thing I always seem to be fighting for...whiter teeth.  There's so many things that can cause yellow teeth...my daily (or triple) cup of coffee, iced tea, blueberry yogurt, a host of other foods and drinks, and of course, age.  So how can you recapture your youthful grin and keep the yellowing at bay?

Well, Crest 3D White has an entire lineup of products designed to work together to bring you a brighter, whiter smile.  I had the chance to review the most powerful product in their teeth whitening arsenal, the Crest 3D White Professional Effects Whitestrips.  Keep reading to learn more!

Black Friday 2012Black Friday 2012 is closer than ever, with many big-name stores opening their doors on Thanksgiving Day. Whether you're braving the crowds for the first time or consider yourself a Black Friday shopping veteran, consider these 10 last-minute tasks to prep you for the biggest shopping day(s) of the year.

1. Research circulars and map out a route. Check your inbox, mailbox and the Internet for updates on store circulars and Black Friday deals. Map out your route based on the deals you want, and remember your local mall is a great resource for discounts within walking distance of one another.

2. Make a list and stick to it. You'll be tempted to deviate from your holiday gift list during the Black Friday madness, and that's exactly what retailers are hoping for. Last year, Black Friday sales reached $52.4 billion, up 16 percent over the year before. The best way to stick to your budget is to stick to your list and avoid any unnecessary impulse buys.

Black FridayRecent news headlines suggest Black Friday is quickly morphing into Gray Thursday as big retailers one-up each other's hours. Walmart is the most recent example, announcing it will open its doors at 8:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving, shortly after Sears made the same proclamation.

Black Friday has reached an almost celebrity-like status over the years, with enough buzz, chaos and excitement to rival the latest Hollywood scandal. It's only appropriate, then, to take a "what's in, what's out" approach to the trendiest shopping strategies for the most notorious shopping day of the year.

Pear Tree GreetingsOne thing I love about my family is that we are all a pretty wacky and fun-loving bunch.  If one of us comes up with a zany idea, it doesn't take much persuading for everyone to follow along. Fun is the name of the game and taking yourself too seriously always squashes that.

So when I decided to take family pictures this year dressed up in our Halloween costumes and then make photo Christmas cards using them, my clan was all aboard!

AvantGardenDecor.comMaintaining a beautiful backyard is so rewarding, for every time you step outdoors, you're greeted with a gorgeous scene of plants and flowers.  During the winter though, when the temperatures drop below freezing and the snow begins to fall, maintaining those outdoor plants becomes a bit more difficult.

The first step in creating a beautiful winterized garden is to obviously plant  flowers and other greenery that works well with your particular climate.  Here in Texas, I am lucky enough to have a winter climate which is still fruitful for a wide variety of flowers and plants.  But I also keep some of my more delicate plants in potted containers atop decorative plant stands so that when the weather turns nasty, I can quickly and easily bring those plants indoors.

I reviewed the following from AvantGardenDecor.com:

CobraCo 21-Inch Scroll Braided Plant Stand which retails for $31.00, but is currently on sale for $24.58.

CobraCo 15-Inch Scroll Braided Plant Stand which retails for $24.00, but is currently on sale for $13.28.
