ifocusAre you frustrated by your children's love of video games?  Do they spend countless hours "wasting time" when there's so many other worthwhile activities they could be doing?  If you have a child ages 6 to 12 years old, then please listen up.

I recently came across a magnificent program that draws from science, technology, nutrition and exercise to create a fun and interactive way for your child to improve their focus and attention.  It's called ifocus and is a scientific approach to improving your child's cognitive skills and development.

So is it really possible to give your child an "educated" video game which will not only challenge them for a few months, but can actually continuously challenge them for years?  Keep reading to find out!

I reviewed the ifocus Deluxe System, which retails for $199.95 with FREE SHIPPING.

Jack FranklinI'm a lucky girl in the fact that I get to see my husband dressed up almost every day of the week!  He has a suit and tie job, so I'm treated to a GQ stud coming through the door each evening.

The one thing I love about his suit and tie attire is picking out different ties for him.  It's amazing how his whole look can be transformed just by choosing another tie from his closet.

Jack Franklin ties were born after years of paying too much for high-quality ties.  As good as a nice silk tie that holds a nice thick knot is, no necktie is worth 100 to 200 dollars.  What's worse, most ties under $50 seem to skimp on the small details that turn a piece of neckwear into something you can be proud to wear.

I reviewed the following ties from Jack Frankin:

Zig Zag, which retails for $125.00, but is currently on sale for $34.00

Pacific, which retails for $95.00, but is currently on sale for $34.00

Caribbean, which retails for $115.00, but is currently on sale for $34.00

ToysAs I child, I was so excited to get the Toys 'R Us catalog in the mail around the holidays. I would spend hours pouring through it, picking out exactly what I wanted for Christmas. Since becoming a parent, however, the catalog hasn't given me the same feeling of joy and excitement. Instead, I worry about my four-year-old picking a ridiculously expensive toy she'll only play with once.

This year, I resisted the temptation to toss the catalog before she saw it, and instead gave her the opportunity to browse for what she'd like. I challenged myself to either find ways to save on that must-have item, or purchase a close alternative. Here are a few of my finds.

NERFWhen I was a kid, it was my dream each Christmas Eve to finally catch Santa Claus in the act!  I was a believer at the time, but I had already begun to hear the whisperings from older children (and adults who didn't think I was listening) that Santa was a myth.

Personally, I couldn't believe those rumors to be true and would always do my best to finally meet the Big Guy face-to-face in my very own home.  If you have a child that yearns to catch Santa in the act, be sure that this toy is safely under lock and key or YOU may be the ones caught...on tape!

The NERF Nightvision Camcorder retails for $89.99, but is currently on sale for $74.99 with FREE SHIPPING.

Artistic SensationsI can still vaguely remember how hard it was growing up as a toddler and preschooler.  Everything in our home was built for grown-ups, making me just a LITTLE too short to see myself in the mirror, turn on the water faucet, light switch, or just about a hundred other daily tasks.

A determined child needs a high-quality step stool to help level the playing field and allow them to reach new heights of independence (and new heights, in general.)  Artistic Sensations prides themselves on creating high-quality, functional furniture guaranteed to stand the test of time.  Keep reading to learn more about the personalized puzzle step stool I reviewed!

I reviewed the Personalized Puzzle Step Stool from Artistic Sensations, which retails for $50.00.
