Maytag Dependable Laundry MomAs you may remember reading in my previous posts, I was lucky enough to be chosen as a Maytag Dependable Laundry Mom!  With that designation comes the perk of trying out the new Maytag Bravos XL High-Efficiency Top Loading Washer and Steam Dryer in my own home.

Benton Harbor, MichiganNow that was amazing enough, but a few weeks ago I was thrilled to learn of an even bigger honor...I was chosen to be one of eight Maytag Moms that would live in The Real Whirled for three days!

What's The Real Whirled you may ask?  Well, it's an amazing two-story house in Benton Harbor, Michigan, outfitted with the latest and greatest Maytag kitchen and laundry appliances.  It's original purpose is to serve as a training facility for future Maytag employees.  What a novel concept!  Learning all about what Maytag appliances have to offer is taken to the ultimate level when you actually incorporate them into your day-to-day life.

So what's it like in The Real Whirled?  Keep reading to find out!

RaguSometimes being a kid can be tough...you don't have much power, and are constantly being told what to do by teachers, parents and basically everyone else.  Ragu understands that even kids have rough days (no matter how good we think they have it) and has created a campaign to help those bad days get a little better.

The next time your kid has a tough one, try giving them a hearty meal made with Ragu.  Ever wonder what your child or family might look like in a Ragu commercial?  Well now, it's super easy (and free) to find out with the Facebook/Android/iPhone "Give 'Em Ragu" app.

BuyaToyota.comI enjoy driving a new car, the new car smell and many other aspects of owning a new car.  However, there is one part of car ownership that I do not enjoy. I really do not like shopping for a new car!  The first time I visited a dealership, I was immediately overwhelmed.  There were so many options for vehicles and features that I did not know where to start.  I decided that it would be be a good idea to do my research before my next dealership visit, so I went to BuyAToyota.com.

The website really simplified the car buying process for me.  At the site, you can browse a great selection of new cars.  You can also view Toyota used cars for sale.  My favorite part about the website is that it is tailored to my local area.  Once I entered my zip code, I could see specials at dealerships that were near my home.  The site also offered plenty of other features that were helpful to me. I knew that I wanted to trade in my current vehicle, and I was able to get a good estimate by using the Trade In Value Calculator.  I enjoyed building my dream vehicle on the site, and I spent hours browsing the vehicle exterior and interior options.

Thanks to BuyAToyota.com, I felt a lot more prepared during my next shopping experience.  I had already seen a great offer for the vehicle that I wanted on the website, so it was a lot easier to negotiate a fair price.

Disclosure:  I received compensation for posting this information.

KleenexHave you ever received a memorable gift from someone that didn't cost a lot of money (or no money at all), but was extremely thoughtful and sweet?  Luckily, my husband and daughter shower me with these heartfelt gifts all the time and I cherish each and every one.

I soothe my conscience now with the thought that it is better for hard words to be on paper than that Mummy should carry them in her heart. ~ Anne Frank

For instance, one morning I woke up and found a HUGE colorful heart drawn in sidewalk chalk on our driveway that said "I love Mommy!"  Riley and Michael had spent quite a lot of time making their thoughtful creation and it truly melted my heart.

Taking the time to express your feelings and let those important souls in your life know just how appreciated they are is a wonderful habit that everyone should practice more often.
