Our GenerationValentine's Day is always such a special holiday for children.  On this day, they celebrate the love they have for all of the special friends and family in their lives.  I always like to give my daughter a little gift on Valentine's Day to help her remember just how cherished she is by both her father and me.  I don't have to think too hard about what to give Riley on this heartwarming day either...she's a 4-year-old girl that's enamored with dolls!

They were using the dolls to project their dreams of their own futures as adult women. ~ Ruth Handler

Battat is a high-quality toy designer that my family has been enjoying for years, so when I came to learn of their new Our Generation line of dolls, naturally I was intrigued.  Battat generously allowed me to review Sandie, the Our Generation doll decked out in hearts from head to toe and just perfect for Valentine's Day!

I reviewed the Our Generation Sandie doll from Battat, which retails for $22.99 at Target.

HomeWetBar.comGreatGiftsforMen.comFinding the perfect Valentine's Day gift for women is quite easy.  Every girl loves to be showered with flowers, candy, a nice dinner and jewelry.  Pick any (or all) of the above and more than likely you'll have a happy lady on your hands.  Unfortunately, finding a great Valentine's Day gift for men is a tad bit harder.

Most guys cringe at the thought of receiving flowers, candy or large stuffed animals for this particular holiday.  If your special guy is anything like my husband, he'll want a gift that's not girly, but practical instead.  HomeWetBar.com and GreatGiftsforMen.com have a wide selection of amazing Valentine's Day gift ideas for men in every price range.  Keep reading to see my top picks!

The Art of ShavingMy husband has one of the hardest beards on the face of this earth.  It literally feels like rubbing against steel wool at times because it's just so thick and coarse.  Unfortunately, he works in an office where he must be clean shaven each day for there's a company policy against having beards.

Couple his coarse beard with his unbelievably sensitive skin and you have a horrible shaving situation that causes my husband a lot of daily pain and aggravation.  He's tried different shaving creams and even methods of shaving, but the end result is always the same: ingrown hairs and razor burn galore.

This Valentine's Day, I've vowed to finally end his shaving woes once and for all, thus giving him the gift that keeps on giving all year long.  This year, he's being introduced to The Art of Shaving...

I reviewed The 4 Elements of the Perfect Shave Full Size Kit in Ocean Kelp from The Art of Shaving, which retails for $115.00.

Valentine's Day Kids

Source: Real Simple :credits-caption:

Got a tactile-learner? A kid who loves to dance? Or maybe your child really loves color? While every child has a constellation of Sensory Alphabet strengths (shape, color, movement and sound are just a few), your child probably has one or two that really stand out — that you notice in his or her artwork or in elements of his or her collections and activities.

Valentine’s Day crafts provide ways for parents to nurture these strengths and help kids say I love you in fun creative ways. Below are craft ideas designed for each element of the Sensory Alphabet.

OsmoticsWhen you're young, that fresh youthful glow stays with you no matter what.  Didn't get enough sleep last night, drank too much or have a poor diet?  No worries!  The bloom of youth hides everything!  :awe:

Unfortunately, as we age, just the opposite is true.  EVERYTHING we do shows up on our faces, making us look old and tired.  All of the time spent out in the sun, staying up late, being stressed out and eating poorly begin to add up and wreak havoc on our skin.  Recapturing our youthful glow is next to impossible then...or is it?

I reviewed the Blue Copper 5 7-Night Molecular Repair Treatment from Osmotics which retails for $98.00, but is currently on sale for $71.65 with FREE SHIPPING.
