Whew! I'm back from my whirlwind trip to Disneyland! If you read my earlier post entitled, "I'm Going to DISNEYLAND!", you already know that I was a lucky winner of a meet and greet with Ryan Seacrest and Justin Bieber at Disneyland earlier this week! We left on Thursday and just returned home on Sunday! The trip was awesome!
We stayed at the Disney Grand Californian resort and didn't use any type of motorized transportation for THREE WHOLE DAYS! I don't know when's the last time I was out and about and didn't need to resort to some type of mechanical means of getting around. We were just so close to everything though, that the only thing we needed was our own two feet...and boy, do I have the blisters to prove it! :)
Anyway, I was lucky enough to get to have my picture taken with Justin Bieber. He was a very nice kid and seemed to have a good head on his shoulders. After we were whisked in and out from that, we were treated to an exclusive viewing of Michael Jackson's Captain EO movie (in 3-D). Justin and Ryan even popped in to say hello to everyone and then we watched the movie. Boy, was it pretty cheesy! It was good to see one of my childhood idols (Michael Jackson) in top form though, and so I did enjoy the movie...although more on a nostalgic level instead of a cinematic one.
Finally, we went over to Studio 17, which was located at the new Disneyland California Theme Park, to see an exclusive interview of Justin given by Ryan. We got to sit on the second row for this and so I got some really choice pictures and video of the whole thing! I couldn't get over how much all of the girls hooted, hollered and screamed for Mr. Bieber! I had a smirk on my face the entire time because it was just so reminiscent of how I must have acted back when I proclaimed that the "New Kids on the Block were sure to be bigger than the Beatles!"
Ah, youth! There is no love greater than a teen girl and her idol! I also smiled to myself at how, in another 8-12 years, I will be sitting there listening to my own daughter scream over some "teen sensation" herself! Well, if you have any girls in your house with "Bieber Fever", then gather round and see the exclusive video below! And make sure to catch them if they should faint! :)
