This post brought to you by Reebok Settlement. All opinions are 100% mine.
When I get into workout mode, I love outfitting myself from head to toe in the latest and most comfortable apparel and shoes. Wearing the proper clothing and footwear can make all the difference between truly enjoying your exercise time and growing to dread it. Reebok is one of my favorite brands for anything fitness related, but if you've purchased any of the following toning shoes or apparel, you may be part of a class action settlement. Please read below for more information:
If you purchased certain Reebok toning shoes and/or apparel from December 5, 2008 through October 12, 2011, you may be eligible to receive payment from a Reebok settlement. The lawsuit alleges that Reebok violated certain state laws regarding the marketing and sale of toning shoes and apparel. Reebok denies all wrongdoing. The Court did not decide which side was right. Instead, the parties have decided to settle.

I still like my Easy Tones. I can see how some people would be mad about this, but I think most of us with common sense knew all along that a shoe or piece of clothing could not change our lives by itself, and that hard work and exercise would also be required. :) I hope they don't lose too much over the settlement... still a great company!
I completely agree Holly! I don't know exactly when it happened, but our society seems to have become much more gullible and naive over the years. A pair of shoes that can completely change your body without any real additional work on the part of the owners? Now that's money well spent!
I also agree! Although I think it's not so much being guillible and naive as being able to spot a way to make a quick buck. Maybe I'm a pessimist, but there are so many lawsuits out there that just don't make sense. It's sad to see a good company be hurt that way. Besides, it hurts all the consumers out there, because companies need to make up the money they pay out. How do you think they do that? Raising the prices. With all the lawsuits out there, no wonder prices are through the roof!
Eh, sorry if I went on a tantrum there, it just makes me sad to see such a ridiculous claim!
And I too would buy anything (not just shoes) that would give me a perfect body without effort, lol!
Sorry to double post, but just wanted to say, I am in no way faulting you for your post. I hope it doesn't seem that way. I think it's great that you keep everyone up to date. I love your blog! :)
Hi Michelle,
Thanks so much and don't worry, I didn't take your comment badly at all. As a matter of fact, I completely agree with you. It makes me sad the way that things have changed with everyone being so sue-happy and not taking any personal responsibility for their own decisions...good, bad or indifferent. You're right too about the added costs passed on to all of us from these frivolous lawsuits. Lawyers aren't cheap and they have to be paid somehow. Thanks again for leaving your great comments and I'm so glad that you enjoy reading my blog. Have a wonderful Sunday!
