Educational InsightsAs a former Science teacher, I have to admit that I couldn't be happier with my daughter's budding love for nature.  She definitely enjoys exploring the outdoors and learning all she can about the critters and creatures we co-exist with outside.

Educational Insights, manufacturer of playful products with serious educational value, has found an indoor way for your little scientist to learn plenty of great information about bugs, with the GeoSafari Jr. Talking Bug Net. Keep reading to learn more!

I reviewed the GeoSafari Jr. Talking Bug Net from Educational Insights which retails for $29.99, but is currently on sale for $24.40 with FREE SHIPPING.

Educational InsightsI'll be the first to admit that I'm an absolute moron when it comes to geography.  I know my 50 states and pretty much what lies on the North American continent, but after that, you can forget it.   Now as an adult, it's fairly embarrassing when folks mention places like Belarus or Kazakhstan because I never even knew they existed.

Like any good parent, I want my daughter to learn from my own mistakes and do better than me in her own life.  That's why I was thrilled to find that Educational Resources has a fun and amazing way to help children learn their world geography...the GeoSafari Talking Globe!  Keep reading to learn more!

I reviewed the GeoSafari Talking Globe  from Educational Insights which retails for $119.99, but is currently on sale for $86.75 with FREE SHIPPING.

Exergen Corporation Riley absolutely HATES me taking her temperature. Currently, we have one of those ear thermometers, which requires sticking a probe down into her ear canal. She constantly squirms and cries and it is next to impossible to get an accurate reading. I can understand though. If you're sick and don't feel well, the last thing you want is someone holding you down trying to pry some weird device into your ear!

I've always envied the neat little handheld forehead scanner my pediatrician uses. All she does is swipe this device across Riley's forehead and presto...an accurate, tear-free temperature! I always thought this type of thermometer was very expensive and beyond my family's means. So, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to review the Exergen TemporalScanner Thermometer and I learned that these thermometers don't cost anything near what I thought!

I reviewed the TemporalScanner Thermometer from Exergen, which retails for $34.99, but is currently on sale for $29.49 with FREE SHIPPING.

My Tot ClockHas this ever happened to you?  Your little one bounding out of bed at 6 am on a Saturday morning when the entire family normally sleeps in until at least 8 am.  How about at nap time, when they've been in their rooms for about 20 minutes and then begin clamoring that nap time is over and they're ready to come back into the living room and play?  In my house, this behavior is actually the norm, which can be very frustrating.

Young children just don't have any concept of time yet and so it's not their fault when they don't adhere to a sleep schedule.  Unfortunately, they don't realize that they haven't had the proper amount of rest...until it's too late and they are in the midst of an extremely "bad day".

So how you can clue a child in on when they should wake up and when they need to go back to sleep?  Well, thankfully White Dove Innovations has created a novel solution that's easy to learn and extremely fun too!  It's the My Tot Clock and I had the chance to review this with my little early riser.  Keep reading to learn more!

I reviewed the My Tot Clock from White Dove Innovations, which retails for $49.95.

NaturepedicI've always tried to treat my bedroom as a sleep sanctuary and have taken great pains to make sure that the lighting (or lack thereof), linens, mattress and pillows are all conducive to a great night's rest.  Any time you spend 1/3 of your life doing something, you should enjoy it, right?

Sleep is such a recooperative process and denying yourself a good night's rest is only going to cause more problems down the road.  The one thing I never understood though is why children shouldn't be afforded that same level of luxury when it comes to their bedding and linens.

Naturepedic is the first and only mattress company to specialize exclusively in the design and manufacturing of infant and children's mattresses that promote natural and organic materials, a non-toxic design, fire-safety, and baby health.  All Naturepedic natural and organic mattresses have been designed with the help of pediatricians, orthopedic specialists, chemists, and engineers.  I recently had the chance to review a 100% organic cotton quilted mattress topper for Riley's twin-sized bed.  Keep reading to learn much more!

I reviewed the Organic Cotton Quilted Mattress Topper in Twin from Naturepedic which retails for $99.00 with FREE SHIPPING.
