One of the best things about the upcoming season is eating plenty of cold treats on a hot day. Of course, buying a summer's worth of popsicles and other icy fare can get quite expensive and you can't control the ingredients you're serving to your children either. That's why I was thrilled to learn about the quick and easy way to make your own popsicles and other frozen treats with the Zoku Duo Quick Pop Maker. Keep reading to learn more!
Freeze pops instantly before your eyes with the Zoku Duo Quick Pop Maker. Quickly make striped pops, yogurt pops or flavored core pops. Have fun adding your favorite fruit, candy or nuts. The only limit is your imagination! Using the Zoku Duo Quick Pop Maker is very simple with only a few choice rules to adhere to. The Quick Pop Maker uses no electricity either. Simply store the unit in your freezer and remove it when you're ready to use. Make sure that it's been in your freezer for at least 24 hours before trying to use.
Next, insert the specially designed sticks into the empty and frozen Duo Quick Pop Maker. Then, pour your favorite CHILLED juice or other ingredient slowly into the pop mold and watch it begin to freeze. When the Quick Pop is frozen, use the green Super Tool to remove it from the mold by screwing it on the base of the stick in a clockwise direction.
Keep turning the Super Tool in a clockwise direction until the pop is released from the mold. Now, just sit the pop back into the mold and unscrew the Super Tool. Attach the special drip cup to the bottom of the stick and voila! A PERFECT QUICK POP!
For our demonstration, I used all natural cranberry grape juice which was sweetened with Truvia instead of sugar. I'm pretty picky on what I'll give Riley to snack on, so she hasn't had too many popsicles in her day. I can't afford the expensive store-bought fruit pops either, so I love that now I can serve up a healthy frozen treat to my daughter any time! We're ready to try fruit pops made with the juice and light pulp we extract with our juicer next, or maybe yogurt pops with some raisins and peanuts thrown in. YUM!

Riley loved watching the Quick Pops set up and begin to freeze right before her eyes. Although the pops are supposed to take just 7-9 minutes to make, ours admittedly took more like 15 minutes. This could have been for a variety of reasons, such as our freezer temperature wasn't set cold enough, there wasn't enough sugar in the juice we used, etc.
It's best to experiment with both ingredients and freezer placement if you're not happy with the length of time it's taking for the pops to freeze. We didn't mind the extra time though, and the results were definitely worth it.
As you can see, Riley really enjoyed our yummy way to kick off the spring! She was jumping and dancing around at the thought of getting to devour a tasty Quick Pop and because it's so easy to do, I know that we'll be enjoying these frozen treats all summer long!
If you'd like to spend your summer making delicious frozen treats for your little ones too, then be sure to pick up a Zoku Duo Quick Pop Maker. Just one 24 hour freeze of the Zoku Quick Pop Maker will yield six pops or six smiling faces!
