Since the beginning of 2011, I have tried to turn over a new leaf with regards to my fitness level. I am doing my best to become more active every day and have even signed up for a new yoga class, which will be starting soon.
Of course, with any form of exercise, mobility and comfort can make the difference between thoroughly enjoying your activity and watching the clock as to when it will end. Thankfully, I had the opportunity to review two pieces of yoga apparel from Alo Clothing. Keep reading to learn much more!
I love featuring companies on my blog that are determined to do the best they can in regards to our planet. Alo definitely fits the bill for they are thinking "green" in everything they say and do and have adopted an entire culture of eco-friendliness. For instance, they use only sustainable fabrics, such as bamboo, modal, organic cotton and recycled polyester, to construct their exercise garments.
They also recycle the majority of any excess fabric, which saves over 20,000 pounds of scrap fabric from hitting the landfills...each MONTH! Couple that with using solar power and recycled office supplies in their corporate offices, with paperless warehouses and hybrid company cars, and you have a business that is seizing every opportunity to do better by Mother Nature.
The Alo Strappy Scoop Neck Bra is one of the coolest sports bras I've ever seen. There was a thin stripe of white mesh around the neckline as well as in a center square on the back and I loved the gray seaming which ran throughout this bra. It complimented the gray, reflective Alo logo located on both the front and back. The most unique feature of the Strappy Scoop Neck Bra had to be the white straps themselves.
These straps formed almost a criss-cross pattern which looked very interesting and fashionable. I also really liked the way this bra allowed me to move and how comfortable it felt. Since it provides both medium coverage and support, the "girls" were held well enough to keep up with my activities, without being bound too tightly.
The Alo Studio Contrast Waist Shorts matched the Strappy Sports Bra perfectly and contained a lot of the same features. The CoolFit material ensured that I didn't get excessively hot and sweaty in these garments even though they both fit snugly. The Studio Contrast Waist Shorts are a fitted short and hug your hips and thighs.
They reminded me of a pair of looser fitting bike shorts, and as a matter of fact, I really enjoy cycling in them. Because these waist shorts move so well with you, doing activities which require a great deal of flexibility, like yoga, are much easier.
If you are looking for a way to exercise in style and comfort, with maximum flexibility, then check out the fitness apparel from Alo. Their environmentally conscious attitudes and practices make this one company I feel great about supporting too!
Disclosure: I received the Strappy Scoop Neck Bra and Studio Contrast Waist Shorts from ALO in order to facilitate my review. No other compensation was received. This product review is based on my own personal experiences with this item and is completely honest and objective. |
